Together with my husband we have made a reservation to dine in Mashua- Peruvian/Japanese cuisine fusion. While traveling all over the world we have eaten and tasted many meals in their place of origin.
Visiting Mashua, for me -one of the biggest fan of Peruvian cuisine, and my husband native Peruvian- the expectations were very high. We have expected the the best flavours and that spark between Japanese and Peruvian cuisine.
Mashua did not disappoint!
Peruvian cuisine in 2018 was voted the best cuisines all over the world. Together with the classy and quirky japanese cuisine, they make the best food fusion you can ever experience.
As soon as we crossed Mashua's doors, we were welcomed by the friendliest staff. We were guided to our table and from there the service was just perfect. The welcome cocktail- fusion of Peruvian pisco and japanese wasabi served in beautiful black glass was outstanding.
The staff member Javier/Pedro and Moises, were very knowledgeable and have explained extensively all meals and starters. We were glad that we have listened to their suggestions.
Gladys, the resturant manager and all staff went more than extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable. For this we are very thankful as you have made our Mashua experience unforgettable.
We were so impressed with the quality and tastiness of all meals, that we have made special request to come back there for more.
There is no other place like it in all Mexico where you can have this once in a lifetime experience. Trust me, your taste buds will never...
Read moreIt is my utmost pleasure to endorse this restaurant to anyone at the Bahia.
The ceviche was a true standout, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures that delighted the palate. Each bite was a fresh burst of flavor that left us wanting more.
And oh, the port meringue dessert! It was a highlight of our meal, a decadent and indulgent treat that we will not soon forget. The meringue was perfectly fluffy and light, while the port added a deep richness that was simply divine.
And the service! The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome and cared for throughout our meal. It is clear that they take great pride in their work, and it shows in every detail.
All in all, it was a truly wonderful dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a sophisticated and satisfying meal. Bravo to the team for their...
Read moreI booked this restaurant online through the Bahia Principe app. My gripe is that it didn't tell me that restaurant was over at the Coba side. I looked at the maps on the Tulum property and didn't see it there. Someone else asked at the front desk and told us we had to go to the Coba side of the resort to get there. You have to take their little shuttle carts as it is a fairly long walk. Food was good. It's mainly seafood choices with a couple of chicken and beef options. Took a while to get to the main course, well over an hour. So, if you plan on going there don't expect to be in and out quickly. I think this restaurant may have been understaffed, as there seemed to be just two servers and one hostess. The night before I went to the Tequila restaurant and there was far more...
