Le Gourmet Restaurant — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

We were late about 30 minutes from our reservation, the host was very rude about that we were late, she kept repeating same thing over and over that we were late. We were about 12 people group, they rejected to make one table that was initially reserved after long long conversation they set three separate tables. In the middle of trying to enjoy the place after all check in hassle, service manager(Iris) came by to one of our table and start educating me about the situation that I was wrong about it and she let my hotel service manager know about this. Seriously??? Honestly I was expecting that at least the service manager would be apologetic about the situation, NOT AT ALL!!! She just destroyed my last hope that I was going to enjoy the place somewhat. She ruined my meal, my stay at the restaurant and my evening. I may understand if the stuff member is not professional and not providing best customer service, but I would never understand that the service manager can provide such a horrible service. The service was excellent. The servers were bi-lingual. This restaurant was too fancy for my taste, but my family had a good time. The vibe is elegant, very French and sophisticated. I and my family got all dressed up to go here, but there were a few families that wore street clothes, shorts and t-shirts. Israel was our server and started our kids off with a “Tequila Boom Boom” (Shirley Temple with foam… I think). That got our kids excited and really enhanced the experience for them. The bread was super delicious. There was butter with red wine and butter with white wine. My 10 year old ordered the Fried Breaded Steak. She didn’t like it, but I thought it was delicious. My wife and ten year old was really impressed by the Potato Cream Soup. My 17 year old ordered the Lobster and loved it. I order the Beef Steak and it was very well prepared and tasty. This restaurant is in Coba side which is a lower class resort than the other ones. Stay away at all costs (especially if you're staying in Akumal resort which has far better restaurants anyway). Multiple people from our group had diarrhea afterwards. Allergies are not respected (one from our group was purposefully fed nuts while he said multiple times he's allergic). The so called manager (Alfredo) came after 40 minutes and said we can change the food if we don't like it! Completely ignoring deadly food allergies and mistaking it by "likeness". He even didn't agree to send our dinner to our room after we had to leave to get medical care for the one who was fed the allergen! This is obviously not catered to modern world clients.
