Zonnebloem Holbox Coffee & Breakfast — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Chose to have brunch here because the presentation of the food looks really attractive and it was a well-decorated place as well. The staff were also super nice and welcoming and spoke great english.

As you can see from the photos, they did look amazing. If you are a veggie/greens lover, you would not have a problem with these. For us though, we would have preferred more servings of the meat, I ended up having to remove some of the greens because it was very hard for my small mouth to take a bite and I could barely taste the meat in my sandwich. Though the overall taste was nice, I guess for the price I paid, I would have just preferred more protein as it was my first meal of the day as well. I think this goes for both me and my partner. But as I said, if you love leafs or greens, you would eat your heart out in this.

The milkshake was also a bit small for it's price but it tasted good and loved the cherry on top.

My favorite thing about this place was that they have a cat lounging around and they even have a cat bed there for the kitty. I wish it was more friendly though but you never know with cats, I was just...

Our visit to Zonnebloem Holbox Coffee & Breakfast was so incredible that we went there twice during our stay on the island!

We ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and ham, a vanilla milkshake, a Matcha Mango Coco, a Matcha Strawberry, and the chocolate-banana pancakes. The pancakes were perfectly balanced — not too sweet, allowing the chocolate’s richness to shine. The flavors were harmoniously combined, making them absolutely delicious. Plus, they were beautifully presented, a true feast for the eyes! Have never seen it like this before! 🤩

The scrambled eggs with salad were fresh and full of flavor, a great way to start the day. Every dish was prepared with love and passion, which was evident in both taste and presentation.

Beyond the food, the story behind the restaurant’s name and its floral-inspired decor is truly touching. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an unforgettable experience.

To top it all off, the service was outstanding— attentive, friendly, patient and incredibly welcoming.
