We were so excited to try Trazo 1810 based on online reviews and the hotel recommendation. And while the service was outstanding and attentive, and the dining environment nice, the food was undercooked and over-sauced to the point of being inedible. Both the pork and beef entrees had the same complex flavor profiles that buried the quality of the meat completely. Besides the flavors also not being compatible, the temperature of the meat was not as ordered. The request was medium, which typically indicates warm pink center. The meat was rare at best. Sometimes a simple, straight forward dish is better when it comes to preparing meat.

The staff was incredibly accommodating and went beyond to make it a pleasant experience. We are seasoned global travelers both with work and in our personal lives and have eaten at many Michelin rated restaurants. So while that was not our expectation, we feel like we have a foundation of what a good meal should aspire to be.

We gave 3 total stars because the service was extraordinary. We probably will not go back, but perhaps if you are considering trying Trazo 1810 take a look at the reviews and try some of the meals that others enjoyed over the meat dishes...

Really weak service. They asked if it was my birthday but then neglected to do anything about it. They asked if I had a gluten allergy, but then couldn’t provide anything that was without gluten. We had to flag someone down to order something. Then I asked for a gluten free dessert and he said only the ice cream was gluten free. When I ordered it he brought me the ice cream with a big cone that was full of gluten. I had to dig all the ice cream out of the cone. They never poured the wine, even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Overall a really sad experience service wise. The food was good though. An unfortunate service experience, especially for the high...

The evening started off well enough. The service was good, the food unexceptional, though well presented. The rub was that when the bill came I was unable to leave a tip on my credit card because their credit card machine wouldn't record the tip. I had only a little cash and gave what I had. Unfortunately, this wasn't acceptable, as I was approached and asked why I didn't leave a better tip. Given that the problem was their own machinery, it was offensive and embarrassing. I will not be back and suggest others take their business elsewhere where responsibility for the establishment's own problems are not made to seem like the miserliness of...

Located in Casa 181, Trazo 1810 is a great hidden gem. The chefs are very creative and playful with their dishes. Ranging from how they plate their food to the intent with the ingredients they use for certain dishes and cocktails. Most of their plates are on the smaller side for some so keep that in mind when ordering. The staff were kind but not as attentive. The view of the cathedral and the rest of San Miguel is excellent from the rooftop while you dine. Trazo is constantly exploring new recipes therefore the images included on this review will most likely no longer exist on their menu. Siguen con el buen trabajo. La comida fue excelente. Muchas Gracias.

Beautiful rooftop restaurant in the heart of San Miguel's historic centro. We were hungry after walking around centro and my neice found this restaurant on Google. It was late, but they were open and they graciously seated us even though I felt we were a little underdressed and we didn't have reservations. The service was excellent. Our server brought us bread, quickly brought us drinks, and checked on us throughout the meal. The food was excellent. I had the mushroom pasta, my brother had the shrimp risotto, and my neice had the grilled chicken with polenta. Each meal was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We were all very pleased.

What a wonderful surprise was to find this place after our dinner plans fell through. We went on a Tuesday night, it wasn’t busy and we were seated right away. The staff was so friendly, they gave me a blanket and offered a heater since I was cold. Also, the view from the terrace is divine. And the food was very tasty. We tried elotitos a las brazas, which was chefs kiss. The fish with elote, and the octopus with huitlacoche for entres. The elote flan was delicious, highly recommend. Also, this restaurant is on the guide for the best 250 restaurants in Mexico. So that’s a plus. Beautiful location too. Highly recommend.
