I don't know about the Tequilla tasting Tour, listed in Trip Advisor but we went therefor a highly recommended Lobster and steak meal/ a local person told us of. Most local Tequila stinks compared to Patron, which they say is junk... Just my opinion. BUT, I did a lot of research on google for restaurants near me, scrutinizing their online menus (pictures) with prices and reviews. We were tired of paying 150-180 USD for a meal with entree only and some wine (No appetizers, sides, etc). THIS looked the best on my analysis. It is a good distance into the town, away from the ferry/ cruise port and shoreline that most tourists troll. We were NOT disapointed. Prices were a little higher than the "Old dated menu" online (I will post the current one) but it was a great place, large and very safe. Food was top shelf, we got chips and salsa first, then bread and soup. Then the meal came with a starch and vegetable! Beer was very well priced. One reason I did all this research was I wanted a big lobster (Tail) and my wife wanted a real, Rib Eye Steak... both pricey. I got the 10 OZ tail and it was so tasty and I could not finish it all. I am a big guy so that says a lot (but I "Forced it down"). Wife could not finish only half of her steak. She got a baked potato w a lovely sauce and vegetables (see pix attached). And as we were leaving a 3 or 4 piece Mariachi band/ LIVE MUSIC started wandering the place. And they sounded good. Despite being such good food, they were the cheapest in town. I HIGHLY recommend this place. We may take the tequila tour just to eat there again. I am so happy with them, I will copy this post to Google, Yelp, etc. They were outstanding. And this is not a fake review, just a gringo from Maryland, USA. But here, I am MARCOS! Do not confuse this place with the other "... Mission" restaurant... big difference.

Honest review — we came here for the table side Caesar Salad and onion soup and it did not disappoint !! Food: was spectacular — the table side salad was such a unique experience. If you do not know, Caesar salad originates from Mexico and this is the proper way to make it. There was also table side guacamole and pico de Gallo. Such a special experience and you also get to learn the proper way at the same time. It was really great being able to eat this dish and compare to other dressings we have had in the past and how much people and bottled companies have altered this amazing salad dressing. The salads are on the smaller side if you’re planning if for a meal. Being a vegetarian it was small — three pieces of lettuce. Atmosphere: Really beautiful, make sure to take a few minutes and walk around the property. There is a ton of history for this location. Worth having a look. Service: On point. All the servers were amazing and seemed to work together very well. Not really sure we had a designated server as all the staff were hands on and taking care of everyone. Really great to see and excellent team work. Cost: reasonable 10/10 would recommend

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I was really looking forward to getting a tamale with my dish but they had already sold out for the day. Everything was amazing so I'm sure the tamales would have been as well. We had the queso for an appetizer. It was delicious. My daughter and I had the Mexican plate and my husband fajitas. We were pleasantly surprised by the lime soup. We didn't know it came with our meal. We watched a very nice lady make our salsa and tortillas fresh. I ordered a flan for dessert. It was perfect. After we finished eating, our server brought us each rosca de reyes. Which was also delicious. We didnt know what 3 Kings Day was, but our server explained the tradition to us. The grounds outside the restaurant and the interior were beautifully decorated and very clean. The menu prices were fair and came with big portions. Everyone was very polite. The service was great. Our check reflected the posted menu price without any extra charges or hidden fees (which we experienced at other places nearby.) I would recommend this place to anyone and look foward to visiting it again if I'm ever back in the area.

The food here was delicious. I ordered way too much food, and--thankfully--the waiter or the kitchen forgot about the queso fundido I had wanted because I had plenty and needed a to-go box. I ordered the chorizo queso fundido (which didn't arrive) and the coconut shrimp. They brought out pico de gallo and chips, a habañero salsa, and garlic bread (which I'm just now realizing might have been to accompany the queso). All of that was scrumptious. The coconut shrimp was divine and a massive portion. It came with a lime and coconut sauce in a halved coconut. I placed an order to-go for my friend and walked around the garden, which was GORGEOUS. The to-go food was wrapped well, and they put a frozen bottle of water in the bag to keep the food fresh. This is the only complaint I had about the entire time I spent there: I got a Bloody Mary, extra spicy. It tasted like tomato juice and some hot sauce, which isn't a "Bloody Mary" to me; it's vodka with tomato juice. This is a must-see and must-eat for me. If I ever get the opportunity to go back to Cozumel, I will make it a priority to make it back to Casa Mission.

ASK FOR THE LOCAL MENU Me and my best friend were visiting in vacation. When we first sat, we were handed a different menu than the locals sitting next to us. It was a VERY LIMITED menu and prices seemed a little high. We asked the local couple sitting beside us what they were eating because it looked really good. They said "our food isn't on your menu, they have you the tourist menu" and they told us to ask for the "breakfast menu". The waiter brought us two other menus! I ordered the chiliquillas with the green sauce and the lime soup...... every single bit of it was amazing!!! Whatever my best friend ordered, she loved it too! The service was great, the restrooms were clean and the food was very, very good! I'm glad the couple beside us told us about the other menu because with the options on the "tourist menu", we were about to walk out and go eat somewhere else. We didn't see any other tourist in her while eating, but it was early. Although I didn't appreciate them giving us a different menu, I would definitely eat her again because the chiliquillas were so good!!!!

We had our rehearse dinner and our wedding reception at Casa Mission. Fabi was amazing with all the help she gave me with the months leading up to the event. We even considered getting married there because the gardens are so beautiful. The food is wonderful, the staff is wonderful and the Palapa is absolutely amazing. We had an awesome party for 20 people and Fabi provided us with the best people. I can't wait to go back in 3 months and see her again and her staff. They're all so great! Have your wedding reception here, you won't regret it. Edit: 2024 we came back in 2022 and again in 2024 and Casa Mission continues to be one of the most beautiful, authentic and tasteful restaurants on the Island. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is kind, you can't go wrong. What's incredible is that we recognized every single person that was serving at our wedding 5 years ago was still here today. I think that says something for the atmosphere of the restaurant and how they treat their employees.
