Good service. They were out of fish, though it was on the menu board and the primary reason we went to try the restaurant. I ordered the chicken instead. It was very thin and really overcooked. The garlic flavor was good. My wife's "pastel de carne con salsa de ciruela", a sort of meatloaf covered in plum sauce and raisins might have been the worst thing I've eaten while living in Cozumel for several years. The flavors were discordant and the texture was like a firm pate. Neither of us could handle more than 2 bites and that was just out of morbid curiosity. Small quiet restaurant off the main path. Food is good, prices are good, staff is nice, serving size is good for price. My 16 year old daughter and I order one plate of food to share, each get a soda and then share a piece of yummy lime pie for dinner and it around 300 pesos or $20 US dollars. That leaves of both pretty full. Other places cost 500 pesos and leave me still hungry with no dessert and only 1 drink to share instead of each having our own. Awesome, inexpensive local restaurant where the food is homemade and made with love. The ambiance is very relaxed and inviting. Daily specials are 135 pesos (about 7 bucks), but is a complete meal including soup or salad, entree and two sides, drink, and dessert and is healthy and delicious. One of my go to restaurants....
