La Cantina de Maza — Restaurant in Sinaloa

We got a tour of Mazatlan and the tour driver brought us to this restaurant. It seem many tourists were being dropped off at this location. Service was okay, food was okay too. The shrimp cocktail was good and the shrimp ceviche. The waiter drop most of our sons chicken fingers but thought we wouldn’t notice and still charge us the full bill. I didn’t like that he force the tip on the bill. He was telling us the amount and what we should pay with tip. We spent around $130US and he was charging us $165US with tip. Beef burger was not on stock. Our waiter talked us into a shrimp and pulpo burger. While it was not on the menu it Was fine. But finally 100 pesos more than the beef per burger. Wasn’t worth 350 pesos. Way overpriced for what you get. Staff was friendly and it’s a nice place. But 350 pesos for a small burger with some papas is to much. And the waiter should have told us upfront. For something that should replace the official dish shouldn’t be 40 percent...

Excellent food very slow service. But the real problem was the drug dealers in mens restroom. They tried to force me to buy coke from them and when i refused they tried to put something in my nose and one of them punched me in the back. The staff definitely knew what was going on and they allow it. The food was excellent but i do not recommend eating in an unsafe environment no matter how good the food is. I will never return to this...
