Beach Club Bar — Restaurant in Tulum

Really bad service! They sad, that there is no minimum consumption. You can have some sunbeds and just order what you want. At first it was ok. We ordered 2 beers and after that we wanted 2 more beers and Guacamole. They sad, that we have to order a real dish, not Guacamole and they can’t give us the beers, because we allready had some beers and we now have to order some drinks. We ordered 2 magaritas (we got the Guacamole at the restaurant which is left from the club), which were the worst magaritas in our whole trip and when we got the bill, which was 600, they told us, that we have to give 90 as a tip. So in total 690 for really bad magaritas and service. I told them, that they only get 650 and that it‘s not allowed to add a tip which you have to pay. I had some strong ague bit after a while they acepted the tip of 50 pesos, which is whey tooo much for the bad service.

We should have read the reviews before going there. The staff seems nice at the beginning but you understand really quickly why. The tip is 15% and they don't give you a choice. CHECK you bill at the end, they overcharge their customers: in their menu, there is Agua (nothing crazy here) and the price is 50 pesos, in our bill, it was 100 pesos and they told us the price changed because they did not have their regular water; they did not mention this They are lying as they do not offer several still waters within their own menu. Nice place with friendly stuff, they do not try to rip you off like some places, however its on the beach with nice views and everything but peices is a little bit on the high side and as a scandinavian tourist we are not used to tip and especially not when they decide the amount ( it was like 15-20 percent, which is fare but i would like to tip as much as i decide and not someone else).
