Caverna Restaurant — Restaurant in Agadir

Our family of 3 came here last night as it was close to our hotel and the menu looked reasonable - more vegetarian dishes would improve it. I had a margherita pizza which had an odd sweetness to it, possibly from the tomato sauce but the dough was good. My daughter had a chawarma sandwich and my son had a fajita, which they both enjoyed. There were a few items unavailable so we had fresh juices to drink, 2 mango and a mix that was recommended to my son. The waiter was friendly and attentive even though it was fairly busy - I wasn’t sure if we had to order at the counter but he indicated that he would come to our table for our order. When I paid I wasn’t given a bill but the total came to 213DH, cheap by European comparison so I didn’t query it but we couldn’t work out how it had come to that as my pizza was 30dh and the other 2 dishes 40dh each. Was great restaurant. Me and my partner were in a hotel around the corner for 11 nights. 7 of them we came here for lunch. Cheap but amazing food. The waitress Naima was always amazing. Being helpful and remembering us each time we visited. On the occasion when i came alone she even asked where my partner was. Love the personal touch. I would so recommend the tagines. The margarita pizza. The big burger and the orange juz.

We never had desserts there so cant comment on them. Other pizzas seem a bit bland. But that might just be me. I ended up settling on the margartia as its to die for anyhows.

Id you do visit. Give Naima a hug from alan and libby. Wonder if shell remember...

This restaurant is a real joke!

We waited 90 (!!) minutes for our food while the locals in the restaurant (who arrived after us) got their food immediately. Some other tourists who were there before us still didn't have their food when we left. From the waiter's reaction on our complaints I would say that this common practice in this restaurant.

Moreover, their "Papaya juice" turned out to be a mixture of orange and papaya that only tasted like orange juice. It wasn't mentioned on the menu that it would be a mix.
