Getting There: Coming in by bus the hotel is too far to walk, however it is really easy to reach by taxi and very easy to find. It has a café on the ground floor and a small door to the right hand side of it serving as the entrance to the hotel. ||||The Room: The apartment was very well designed making great use of the space. It has a nice balcony and a huge bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. It was perhaps a little old and tired but it didn't effect the quality of the room. There was no deadbolt on the door which was a bit of a downside on security. ||||Extras: The wifi is a little spotty because it has no password they try to keep the signal weak. The kitchen is fairly stocked and it is comfortable to cook. The swimming pool is pleasant but there are very few chairs or sun lounges and a big family of cats living nearby. The apartments are also serviced so a cleaning person comes everyday to clean, make the bed and replace towels, so the apartment is always spotless. ||||Location: It is about ten minutes from the beach, although walk to the right hand side of the square and use the access there as the one nearer the hotel is a little over populated with pushy salesmen. There are several supermarkets nearby and a market place on the next street for food shopping. There are also a number of restaurants on the next street, within a couple minutes walking. ||||Staff: There were a lot of different men on the front desk but they were all smiles and always polite. The cleaner we had was always smiling and understood if there were days we didn't want our room cleaned and would provide fresh towels and toilet rolls instead. Overall, very helpful staff that would answer all...
Read moreMy brother and I stayed in one of the apartments at the Hotel Louban and ours had a good view of the large square from the terrace. There was a separate bedroom, but no air-conditioning. The kitchen area was adequate, even if the wobbly refrigerator did not get cold enough to produce ice and there were only a few kitchen utensils.
For the low price, this is fine for a few days, but if you need to stay longer I'd look elsewhere for something just a bit more comfortable and better maintained. The Hotel Louban has no elevator, so be prepared to carry your suitcase up some stairs.
The pool area is pleasant, but I never used it, preferring to walk to the main beach and promenade area. There is a quiet cafe downstairs where you may sit outside (or inside) and watch people passing by. There are several good food shops near this hotel.
It was reasonably quiet in my street-facing room. The receptionist was helpful...
Read moreHotel residence LOUBAN offers a mixed experience. The overall cleanliness is decent, rating an 8/10, but could use some improvement. The room quality is basic, suitable for those who only need a place to sleep, with a rating of 3/5. The staff is satisfactory, though not exceptional. The hotel features a clean pool, which is a nice amenity. The best aspect of this hotel is its convenient location. I tried the breakfast at the downstairs café, and it was good. However, the toilets need more towels; they only provide large ones and none for hands. Overall, the price is great for what you get, making it a reasonable choice for...
