At 1st glance hotel looks lovely, but when u actually stay a few nights u see what it's really like.
Going ALL INCLUSIVE means the HOTEL STAFF look and treat you like second class citizens considering we paid nearly £900 for 6 nights.
Rooms r not cleaned regularly, our room was cleaned 2 times while we was there even though we asked them too.
Fresh towels, shower gel toothpaste r not provided or topped up everyday, so i just bought some, unless u r lucky enough to catch the cleaning people & they do it.
You don't even have a kettle to make hot coffee/tea as u wud do elsewhere which is standard everywhere I stayed,
Apparently you can ask them which I discovered the day we left talking to other disgruntled customers, so make sure u ask straight away upon checking in AND ask for a key to yr safe.
Also their is no fridge in the room either so enjoy yr Warm bottled water or softdrinks.
Buffet
1st day we tried the buffet was ok nothing special again for the money u pay u wud expect a variety.
They had the same fish item everyday with a slight twist maybe,1 day grilled, next day fried but same thing everyday. Same goes for thier meat & chicken, bog standard same thing everyday with a slight change. Don't expect any prawns or seafood ect.
Drinks, if u go ALL INCLUSIVE r served in plastic & paper cups while u look around & see the paying customers being served in bottles and cups, so when u pay upfront u get treated like the poor, however if u pay while their u will be at least served in glasses & cups & saucers & if u are really lucky maybe even a smile.
Staff & Customer Service
I can put up with all the above but what really annoyed me is how they treat customers.
No smile, no manners, most cannot even speak english, no hospitality at all. Its not much to ask This place needs to work on so many things to attract tourist to stay at their hotel if they truly want to be a great hotel.
I've stayed in many hotels and never have a felt this way about a hotel that's meant to be 4*, I would get better treatment at the Premier Inn if they had one.
The only 3 staff members at the hotel that tried to make any effort was Mariam in reception, really nice and helpful, Yousef at the Bar who spoke English and was always smiling and Friendly and The Bar Manager who tried to look after his guest but you can tell he was limited due to higher powers above him.
They should certainly listen to his advice and they will definitely do a better job then they were doing and also hire staff that can speak basic English.
Some of the bar staff were absolutely Pathetic, you would be standing their for 10 mins without them even acknowledging your presence. Its ok to say hi ill be with you in just a min. A little bit of manners and politeness goes along way and then you will see your patrons actually tipping you and smile, its doesn't cost anything to smile.
After 2years I was so happy to go on holiday but I will never stay their again, actually I don't plan on going to morroco again, for the money I spent I'd rather got to dubai or Turkey or even Portugal again, anywhere but their.
Sorry for the rant whoever is reading this,
I hope the hotel take this feedback and try to improve the service and quality and make their customers feel welcomed so then they can come back to their respected homes and refer their friends and family about staying in Aneezi Towers, but you won't get that from me which is unfortunate.
We are guests in your country and hotel, make us feel welcomed and our business appreciated and you will reap the benefits also.
I truly wish you the best
Thank you.
Ps Thiers a guy at the hotel, his name is kamal or something who will try to sell you excursions, ask exactly for everything how long will it be, how much it will be, don't be afraid to say NO plenty of places offer this service. Not all what he offers is as he's describing it, desert safari and sand dunes what he will have u belive is not actually going...
Read moreHotel was nice but a bit older and more run down than I thought. Our room was lovely but again the bathroom was very old and needed a bit of a refurb.
The hotel was clean. Location is about 10 mins walk to beach side via a load of steps which isn't ideal, especially on the way up. You can go the longer way round though without steps...The beach side, the hotel do have their own sunbeds, free to residents which is why you're given a wrist band. The wrist band is annoying as you're expected to keep it on for the whole stay... Or you keep taking it everywhere and hope you don't lose it as I think there's a replacement cost.
There's 3 lift, all a bit rickety but they seem to be fine.
Restaurant and chambermaids etc all very friendly despite limited English.
Food
The hotel serves a buffet breakfast lunch and dinner ... Breakfast was included but lunch and dinner is charged at 180dh pp. £16 ish. The breakfast is nice, good variety to cater for all nationalities. Eggs, omelette, salad, olives, pastries, horrible coffee, orange juice, Moroccan tea, stale cereal, variety of breads etc.
We were always out for lunch so never had it buffet style but dinner buffet was not great in terms of quality of food. The pizza was good, but they had fresh Dorey fish cooking which was overcooked, pasta is very soft but the do have it... At the end of the day, they try to do something for everyone but its not Italy and each country has its own strengths for food. Lots of stewed vegetables and salad but not so much carrot, brocoli etc...but there was overcooked green beans and fruit is always available.!
Room service and poolside food
The same small menu is used... Salads, a few paninis, sandwiches, burgers....i had burger and paninis about 4 / 5 times when feeling lazy... It was ok.. Nothing special but again, cheap so can't moan for £3.50 Inc chips! Water at the hotel is around £1.80 (20dh) for a large bottle 1.5 litres, 150dh for small 500ml. Outside of hotel you can get a large bottle for 6dh about 50p but for convenience it's good and I guess same as UK prices onsite. Its a shame the room service menu isn't bigger.... I got bored of the same thing but could have used it more out of convenience when we were sick and bed bound for 2 days of our holiday.
Cash machine
Yes there's one onsite but it charges 20dh (£1.60ish) per withdrawal. I'd recommend getting it outside if you can from bank BMCE for example as its free. The bank that's used for the hotel ATM charges regardless where it is so avoid it altogether if poss.
Safe in the room
This is charged at 25dh a day which I think should be free... So we didn't use it. We locked our suitcase with valuables instead. I don't think this should be chargeable for this type of place but there you go...
WiFi
Ahh the important bit... If you plan to work out here... Don't rely on WiFi 😂😂. Its very patchy... There's different spots but Morocco generally seems to be sketchy whether 4g or WiFi. We bought a local sim which is much much cheaper than roaming as its a non EU country. Buy a sim card from Maroc Telecoms for 50dh (around £4.50) then get data added ... We got 5gb of data for another 50dh which was fine for 2 weeks. I needed help topping up though by the telecoms guys after buying sim from corner store. Ps. The WiFi at the hotel is NOT secured by password so I'd recommend using a VPN to send or browse sensitive information.
So, all in all... A good hotel from our experience but this is our 2nd time in Agadir. I'm sure I'll be back but maybe not to this hotel as I'd like to be closer...
Read moreIt’s overpriced and overrated. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, can do for 3 stars only. We booked ‘Premium room with sea view’. Dirty rooms on our arrival, got twin beds when we requested double bed. In 7 days of our stay we didn’t get even bed sheets changed. The room was setup for one person, one towel, one coffee capsule, one tea bag and so on. We had to request extra towel that was brought only the next day. Also rust all over the shower, tap was leaking that we had water on the floor all our stay. The fridge obviously doesn’t work, for safe you have to pay and request some sort of card, it won’t work line any other normal place. And that is the ‘Premium room with Sea View’ 🤯 If we booked premium and got this, I’m afraid to ask how are the rest of the rooms 😳
Food choice is very poor for breakfast, hot counters are not refilled once finished, so if you’re after 8:30 you have only leftovers. Half counters completely empty, no fresh fruit except few rotten apples and oranges. It takes time to even find an acceptable cup, because clean dishes don’t exist in this hotel. It’s all that cheap that they’ll give you one paper napkin per customer, that’s shocking. The lady that cooks omelette has very dirty hands with no gloves and you can see that half of her nail polish is gone, probably in your food 🤮 Very disgusting and disappointing to see a hotel that claims 4 stars to be that low. Also they would offer you mint tea, and be careful with it as they add wormwood plant 💀 in it, I guess for a reason, so you don’t get worms from the cats around the hotel and food poisoning from lack of hygiene. But be careful if you have liver conditions, pregnant or breastfeeding as it may be poisoning. I was shocked to see on the fourth day that herb in my tea without being warned about it as I’m pregnant and when I asked the man what plant is this as you call it mint tea and obviously that’s not only mint in it, as I see there some other plant, he just ignored me and turned around.
Also about facility: They claim to have sports facilities, which is just an abandoned room with self made and broken machines and few ripped mats. The kids area is closed out and kept as a storage for stuff. Lift doesn’t work properly, only two out of three, for such busy place and with some electrical issues during our stay, we had to use stairs to the 8th floor. They’ll require 20€ for towels deposit for pool area, which are old and dirty. At the end they’ll return you the wrong amount in their currency 🤦♀️
Staff is unfriendly and unresponsive to your requests.
Based on our experience, pictures attached and opinion just to make people aware of real situation in this hotel. I’ll leave it up to you to decide if you’re ok to pay this price for...
