Clay Oven Tangier: A Royal Experience in the Heart of the City
From the moment we stepped into Clay Oven Tangier, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance is inviting, blending the rich traditions of Indian culture with a modern, elegant touch. But what truly set our experience apart was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, K P Singh. He treated us like royalty—I've never felt so well-cared-for in a restaurant before. It was as if we were the most important guests in the city.
The food? Absolutely superb. Each dish was meticulously prepared, bursting with authentic flavors that danced on our taste buds. It was my brother's first time trying Indian cuisine, and I could see the joy on his face with every bite. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the food was cooked to perfection. For someone who has enjoyed Indian food many times, including at other Clay Oven locations, this meal felt particularly fresh and satisfying—exactly what I needed.

Whether you're new to Indian cuisine or a seasoned lover of its flavors, this restaurant will exceed your expectations and leave you feeling like you've just had a royal feast. Highly...
Read moreIf you’re in Tangier and craving authentic Indian cuisine, Clay Oven is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. But what truly made the night exceptional was the incredible service by our waiter, Achraf.
Achraf was not only attentive and professional, but also genuinely passionate about the food and ensuring we had the best possible experience. He walked us through the menu with great knowledge and enthusiasm, helping us choose the perfect combination of dishes – and every single recommendation was spot-on.
The food? Simply phenomenal. Every bite was a celebration of Indian flavors – rich, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. The butter chicken was velvety and full of depth, the biryani was fragrant and beautifully spiced, and the naan came out hot and pillowy, straight from the tandoor. You could tell everything was made with care and authenticity.
It’s rare to find a place that combines top-tier service, a welcoming atmosphere, and food that truly transports you across continents – but Clay Oven manages it effortlessly. A huge thank you to Achraf and the whole team for making our evening so memorable. We will...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to trying Clay Oven in Tangier, but it didn’t meet our expectations. When we sat down, we were given a small welcoming dish, which was free. But even that felt like a letdown. It tasted like leftover samosa dough that had just been deep-fried. It felt cheap and random, not something you’d expect from a restaurant that claims to be high-end. Then came the starter, and the chicken was undercooked. It was slightly raw in the middle, which is a serious issue. I ordered the chef’s special platter, and to be honest, it didn’t feel special at all. The presentation was basic. The naan bread was also disappointing. It was burnt in places and barely had any stuffing inside. When you’re paying higher prices, details like that really matter. Speaking of price, the meal felt overpriced for the quality of food we received. It’s not a cheap place, and the food just didn’t justify the cost.
On the positive side, the Moroccan staff were friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. The service itself was fine, but the food really let the whole experience down. This place could have potential, but we left feeling disappointed and won’t be...
