ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE AND DISRESPECT TOWARDS GUESTS - FORCEFUL REQUIREMENTS TO MAKE MULTIPLE UNNECESSARY ORDERS
We just moved to Morocco and got introduced to this place which we have now visited twice, first time for us was fine, second time for us was very very bad, firstly it was me, my partner and my best friend, it was her birthday and we walked by and decided to go for a drink. As soon as we entered, at the door the hostess had informed us that WE WILL NEED TO ORDER A TAPAS, well we were fine with that although it is very disrespectful to greet guests this way… atleast give us the chance to sit and review the menu… anyways, we ordered a bottle of wine to enjoy between us as it was only 6PM and we had a sunny sky above us. They were like “Umm, you can’t have just drinks, you need to order a Tapas… which btw the bottle of wine was already around 600dh… don’t understand how that isn’t satisfying enough for a rooftop bar on a THURSDAY !! So anyways i chose a tapas for us even though we had just had lunch and weren’t interested in a meal, AND THEN HE WAS LIKE “NO, ATLEAST TWO OR THREE TAPAS IS REQUIRED” !!!! I was like excuse me but we have been here before… what is going on??? He blamed it on a new policy made by new directors .. i look around and there are people on my right drinking beer and having olives, and to my right a man having a beer with again… no apparent order and not to mention he sat around the same time as us so i know he didn’t order anything!! What a way to ruin our day! Rude rude waiter, we felt so unpleasant by the rudeness and aggression towards us making unnecessary orders and not to mention we were made to feel as if we were cheap and just uncomfortable DESPITE having seen others get different treatment, i think this happened because we spoke just English and were seen as an easy target to milk money out of. ( NOT TO MENTION IT WAS EMPTYYYY ON A THURSDAY NIGHT ANYWAYS )
Anyways totally not worth it if you want to get a good service and be treated with respect!! Not to mention everyone i told this story to many Moroccan friends and they all expressed hatred towards the service and treatment by staff at this rooftop.
My message to Azour : SHAME ON YOU, TREAT YOUR GUESTS WITH RESPECT AND LEARN HOW TO GREET AND SERVICE GUESTS THE RIGHT WAY! YOU WILL NOT SEE US THERE AGAIN AS WELL AS THE MANY OTHERS THAT YOU HAVE TREATED THIS WAY!! ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL IN COMPARISON TO YOUR...
Read moreI had a very upsetting and discriminatory experience at this restaurant. I went with my friend (we are both over 20) and was refused entry at the door. I wear a hijab, and from the start the staff member completely ignored me, he refused to look at me or address me directly, only speaking to my friend, which was incredibly disrespectful.
The first thing he did was ask my friend her age. She told him she was 20. Right after that, instead of letting us in, he suddenly said we couldn’t come in because “it’s busy and there’s a lot of alcohol since it’s Saturday.” This excuse made no sense at all — it wasn’t even Saturday, it was Friday, the place was not busy, and we had no intention of drinking.
At that point, I asked him directly: “Then what age do you have to be to come in?” I had to repeat myself several times before he finally answered, and when he did, he just said “20.” This made no sense because my friend had already told him she was 20, yet he still refused to let us in. His reasoning was inconsistent, dismissive, and felt like nothing more than an excuse to turn us away.
This entire experience left me feeling singled out and disrespected. To be denied entry not because of any real rule, but seemingly because I “don’t fit,” is unacceptable. Being ignored because I’m a hijabi and then given contradictory, baseless excuses is discriminatory and deeply disappointing. A restaurant should treat all guests fairly and respectfully. Worst customer service and staff. Would give it 0...
Read moreI recently visited Azour Restaurant and Lounge terrace at ONOMO City Center Hotel in Casablanca and was captivated by its unique vibe in the heart of the city. The service, though generally good, had a slight dip during the summer rush when it was crowded. The underground parking with Tesla superchargers is a convenient perk, especially considering the challenges of finding parking in the area. The Afro-Moroccan soul of the establishment truly shines through in the artwork displayed throughout the property. A delightful spot for both business...
