So overrated and overpriced! And the worst thing was that I couldn't even finish my meal. It tasted like high-school cafeteria zaalouk that I pay 20 dirhams for. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! Add to that that you need at least 300 dirhams per person to eat a proper diner that is on top of that not worth the money, not in portion and not in taste EDIT: What an unprofessional response! Indeed I have come to this place multiple times and I have recommended it to a lot of my friends and have shared it in my stories. However all those times I have only ordered coffee and cookies, which are honestly very hard to mess up, which means I didn't have an issue during all those times, even tho I had a problem with the attitude of the owner/manager (which became very clear during this interaction). Despite this I have recommended it to many people and have even invited a friend this time. Unfortunately, yesterday was the first time I ordered a meal at your establishment, and the disappointment was huge. Following this bad experience, I have exercised my right as a costumer to voice my opinion on this platform. Managing a business means accepting both good and bad reviews and understanding that people have different taste and won't always leave five star reviews. Just like you put a lot of work and dedication onto your restaurant I put a considerable amount of money (for me at least) and I still got out unsatisfied, as such I have all the right to write about my experience no matter how much it hurts your feeling because I understand that other costumers like me may be looking for honest opinions about this place from all perspectives. I'm not gonna sugarcoat my experience because of your "work and dedication". Not every person voicing their unsatisfaction is holding a personal gruge against you. Learn to suck up your pride and take criticism. Have the day you deserve. Ps: that filtered water certainly did not compensate for the expensive below...
Read moreAs a modest connoisseur of culinary experiences, I recently had the opportunity to visit NIYA, courtesy of a friend's invitation. Regrettably, the anticipation built from recommendations and excitement was met with profound disappointment. Upon entering the place, I was initially struck by the pleasant ambiance. The decor exuded a sophisticated charm, with elegant lighting and tasteful furnishings. However, the ambiance alone couldn't salvage the shortcomings that followed.
Now, onto the crux of the matter – the food. It pains me to say that the culinary offerings were far from satisfactory. The menu promised an array of delectable dishes, but the execution fell short in every aspect. In fact, the reason behind me writing this now is how AWFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL was your team's answer to the review made by the friend who initially invited me to this place. Dear custumer service team, know please that if we don't like a place we do not just simply not come back to it : as custumers, we have the right to leave the review the place deserves so that other poeple won't get scammed just like we did.
And again, as customers, out aim is to provide honest feedback based on our experience and I assure you that my friend's review was not born out of spite or an abundance of free time. Rather, it stemmed from our disappointment with the quality of the meals we received and I believe it is important to share both positive and negative experiences.I understand that criticism can be difficult to receive.
Overall, my experience at NIYA was one of profound disappointment. Despite the inviting ambiance and courteous service, the lackluster quality of the cuisine overshadowed any redeeming qualities. I left feeling underwhelmed and regretful, with the realization that this dining establishment fell far short of its purported standards. Regrettably, I cannot recommend NIYA to...
Read moreWhat a pleasant discovery! I found this place during my stay in Casablanca and couldn't recommend it more. As a vegan traveling in Morocco, after a while I was getting a bit tired of the local cuisine. Don't get me wrong: I do like the national staples like the vegetarian tajine and the fresh Moroccan salad, but for those following a plat-based diet, it is quite hard to find various and balanced meals in terms of nutritional value and taste. Niya offers a nice selection of really delicious dishes for a very reasonable price. Considering that plant-based food is not that common in Morocco (in many restaurants I visited, the waiters were never even sure what veganism was), at Niya you can really see the effort tat the staff makes to offer tasty and healthy food to the guests, taking into consideration also the vegan food trends you see in more vegan-friendly cities. Niya restaurant could easily fit in locations like Milan or London and still humble it's competitors. Highly...
