Great place to be when in Essaouira. Definitely beach vibe. You can look at ocean while having nice, light not pretentious food or even snacks if not so hungry. Fresh food, vibrant atmosphere. UPDATE: I rarely write anything here, not review person. But I wrote about this place as I really like it in past and I keep returning every time I was in Essaouira. Today I decided to remove stars. Only few guests but staff is ignoring you. I understand this is a beach but just swipe the table before you serve food. I can see that manager or owner is trying to keep friendly atmosphere but most of stuff just don't get it. Pity. I don't like lazy, unimaginative people who do you favor that they do their job. Girl who was serving me is the worse waiter anyone would have. I understand this place is best when there is evening party (I was on one in past). So if you are unhappy to work during the day (or it was because we have Monday?) just don't open it. Open it when you are in the mood to work only. Someone lost control over this lovely place and it turned into distater. With tipsy manager stretched in the sofa on top of it. Just turn this place into the club and don't pretend that you care to run restaurant. Food was unimaginative and mediocre, easily you find much better for this price (prices are regular, not cheap not expensive). I could stand it easier if someone will give me even slightest impression that you are welcome here. I have seen two waiters doing some job with heart but they should have someone to teach them, to help to understand their job as they were fresh. Instead of this they will catch that terrible vibe of rest, obviously bored workers. Pity. Once it was nice place to be. This is what is happening when you live on your good name only. For me it was last time. So many good places in Essaouira, waste of time for feeling like unwanted intruder. I have seen another couple in exactly the same situation, dragged by great look of the place. I could hear their comments - exactly what I said before. Rest of guests was drunk and didn't care. And this is exactly first impression - it looks like after party on which everyone get wasted and now everyone waits to get sober and go home. It supposed to be cool (and it was once) but it turned for repository for misfits. Especially sad when you see adults trying to be teenagers. One of biggest drop I have seen on gastronomic...
Read moreI often visit this beachside spot in Essaouira, either solo to enjoy a cozy sunset or with friends to share quality time by the sea. It’s a place I return to for its relaxed vibe and beachfront views.
The staff are friendly, kind, and attentive, and the service is generally quick, even when the place is moderately busy. However, the security at the entrance continues to lack professionalism, which is something management should seriously consider improving to match the rest of the experience.
On this particular visit, we ordered a round of drinks 🍻, but they were served without any tapas, and the taste was disappointing — not well-balanced and lacking freshness. While the drinks weren’t the highlight, the overall ambiance made up for it.
The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, especially during sunset or early evenings. Whether you’re coming alone to enjoy the view or meeting with friends for a casual night out, it’s a decent spot to relax.
🌅 Recommended for chill evenings with friends, couples, or solo travelers — just come more for the view and vibe than the food or drinks.
📍 Best for: Friends, couples, solo 🕒 Ideal time: Sunset, early night 🍹 Tip: Drinks could improve; keep expectations low for taste 🚪 Note: Security at the entrance...
Read moreFirst of all, I do not recommend anyone to order draft beer. I was here to watch Euro 2024 and ordered draft beer for the table, repeatedly had to go to the bar and point out that the glass was only a third full (including the foam). We notice that some tables are reserved and are told to sit at an unreserved table which we happily do. After about an hour (the match is not over) a large group of French people come who also want to watch the match whereupon the owner who seems to know these guests comes to our table and asks us to leave the table as he claims it is reserved, we have just ordered food to the table by the waiter. I try to explain to the owner that we followed the waiters' instructions but he doesn't listen and nonchalantly waves us away. The owner also only speaks French even though I try to speak to him in English. All the tables with reservations had a sign on the table, ours didn't, I try to explain to him that we have ordered food that is on its way but he doesn't listen, we end up having to eat our pizzas at the bar and pay full for half-full beer glasses and very bad service. I conclude that this owner just wants to get people to order a lot then replace people when new people arrive. Do not...
