🎶 Nightlife Spot with a Beachfront View – Beytt, Essaouira

As always in Mogador (Essaouira), I was on the lookout for a lively spot to enjoy the evening with friends. A local friend recommended Beytt, and it turned out to be a memorable night.

✅ Location & Ambience: Beytt is located just in front of the corniche of Essaouira, offering both indoor and open-air spaces with a panoramic beach view. The place is well-designed inside and has a unique dance floor that adds to the charm of the venue.

✅ Food & Drinks: The dishes were delicious, well-prepared, and nicely presented (I regret not taking photos!). While I didn’t try the cocktails, most people seemed to stick with basic drinks, which are a bit pricey, but that's expected in such a setting.

✅ Staff & Service: The restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. However, the security personnel were not as professional or pleasant, which unfortunately stands out—especially for first-time visitors. It’s unclear whether this behavior is aimed at locals or tourists, but it's something management should consider improving.

📌 Overall: A great evening and nightlife venue in Essaouira. Ideal for hanging out with friends, watching the sunset, or simply enjoying the atmosphere and music. Just a bit of attention needed on the security side.

I visited Beytt Mogador for my birthday dinner with my sister during a short trip to Essaouira. The place is cozy, the ambiance lovely, and the food was good, though the portions were smaller than expected.

Unfortunately, the evening was ruined by a serious incident. While enjoying the music, I suddenly felt a sharp pain under my thigh. I stood up to find a piece of green glass stuck to the seat, which had caused a deep cut. I headed to the bathroom to assess the injury, and my sister kindly asked the manager for a first aid kit.

What followed was both shocking and unacceptable. The manager responded with sarcasm and inappropriate comments, saying things like “It’s just a little cut, and that part is very sensitive she’ll be fine. Do you want us to call an ambulance?” Not only was there no proper first aid kit, but his tone was dismissive, mocking, and frankly felt harassing.

What could’ve been a special evening became uncomfortable and embarrassing due to how the situation was handled. Accidents can happen but how you treat people in those moments matters. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and works on offering a safer and more respectful experience...

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience I had at your establishment on 20Aug

I made a reservation in advance, but upon arrival, I was told there was no booking under my name. When I called the person who took my reservation, he admitted that he had forgotten. Instead of handling the situation politely and professionally, he was very rude, refused to speak properly with me, and told me I must sit where they choose, not where I as a customer prefer. This attitude was completely unacceptable, especially coming from someone who claimed to be a supervisor.

What made matters worse is that the staff laughed at the situation, which made us feel disrespected and humiliated. We had come from a very far distance after seeing your post on Instagram and were excited to experience your place, but instead, we were left frustrated and disappointed
