Madinat Azzahra - La Petite Algue — Restaurant in Essaouira

I went to the Restaurant for a Dinner with my friend and our dress code was perfect for the place and as it is our first time in the restaurant we went as a Walking guests .so then the Person who was in the Door was so rude from the first impression, doesn't smile or look at you at all when you talk to him. He doesn't have to do with Hospitality nothing , a person like him shouldn't be in a Restaurant in Touristic city like this .anyway here is the story .so when we walk in he stopped us he said you can't enter so i asked him about the reason he said it's by reservation only , I told him ok no problem so let us just have a look on the rooftop and the menu to have an idea about the place to book for next time . So he said you can't passe with very rude way and body language , so I told him please respect us we are not coming to the place to eat d'or free , it's an open public restaurant not private and we have all the right to enter. then he answers with more worse way and start insulting us with bad words , so we asked him to call the Manager so we can speak about the situation and he said there is no Manager here , I'm the one who is deciding here .an he refuse to call the Manager . I state that it was my first time in this place, and also my last. I went with some friends with the intention of having dinner on the terrace; my dresscode was more than appropriate for the mediocrity of the venue. The restaurant is a renovated bar-restaurant with below average furnishings for the prices and the quality of the food. The bodyguard at the entrance very rude and very unprofessional. At the entrance they do a complete clothing check-up that isn't even possible in the most prestigious venues. Not recommended, professionalism and respect for people comes first in tourism and otherwise,...

the food price reasonable and the portion is great too. the service is great. looks like this is a new restaurant since owners are around. it is not too close to Media so usually quite quite and u get a nice view...
