I live in Marrakech and was looking for something special for my wife’s birthday.Been to M Ave many times but never noticed the resturant. Via Google came up whilst searching for very good restaurants. I have to say we were not disappointed . We are both foodies and know what we like.

We’ve had Japanese food around the world and the food is high end . We were greeted from outside the resturant and were shown to our table.

The service from start to finish was very professional, friendly and attentive which is what you would expect from a high end establishment.

The decor was on point and very pleasing creating a lovely casual but smart ambiance. The bar was beautiful and cosy and the barman knew how to make cocktails . I had a whisky sour which was excellent and well balanced. The wine selection is comprehensive consisting of local and international wines , we opted for a bottle of Petite Chablis which was outstanding .

We ordered a tuna pizza which was amazing again one of the best we’ve had and another dish called Hot Mess again great flavours .. Sashimi poke . For the main we ordered the Chilean Sea bass and Black Cod with sides of truffle potato purée and crab fried rice. Again absolutely fantastic. They went to the trouble of singing happy birthday to my wife accompanied by wasabi ice cream which was excellent The in house DJ I think her name was Salma was excellent and never loud enough to drown the conversation.

Through out the evening we talked to Mohamed the manager and who made our evening that much special .

Price wise comparatively it’s not cheap for Marrakech but than again the quality and service was excellent and compares to London prices.

We and the family will be definitely going again and have no hesitation in recommending the...

We found this place by accident, as it didn’t come up when we googled good places to eat in Marrakesh. It certainly should have done.

The restaurant is right in the middle of a shopping Mall, but this is no place to pop in for a quick bite between shops. It is a high end Japanese/Korean restaurant with beautifully prepared food and lovely service.

The choice of dishes is vast, and there will be something to suit all tastes I reckon. We had a collection of Sushi and some shrimp dishes to start and followed up an amazing beef dish and salmon with lemon. The beef was amongst the best I have ever had and the salmon was light and full of flavour. Both we wonderfully prepared and presented. I went for a crumble. It wasn’t quite what I expected, but i suppose i would have been disappointed if it had been.

The wine list is very good. I usually plump for a claret or a Californian Cabernet but was persuaded to try a local red (see photo). I was in the mood to experiment and am very pleased I did. Importantly… I was not up-sold. The local red was half the price of the french wines I was looking at.

In terms of value for money, I couldn’t say how favourably it fairs with other local places, but to me (a Londoner) this was really good value for what was amazing food and lovely...

I had a great experience at Akira Back Marrakech. From start to finish, everything was spot on. The service was impeccable, fast, attentive, and the staff were always helpful and welcoming. Special thanks to Oumaima, who took great care of us with professionalism and kindness.

I went for dinner with my little sister, and we were warmly welcomed. I had made a reservation in advance, which I’d definitely recommend if you’re planning to go in the evening.

The food was excellent, nothing to complain about there. The only letdown was the mocktail, which lacked a bit of flavor. I was expecting something a bit more special. One small suggestion: it would be nice to have hand cream available in the ladies’ restroom; it’s a little detail, but it makes a difference.

All in all, a lovely evening in a beautiful setting. I’d...
