Unfortunately my original review was lost so I don't have the details on room amenities, comfort level of bedding or water pressure/temp. What I do recall in my impressions are below. Hotel is located along a very busy main driving area with significant noise and honking. I'm sorry but there's just nothing "Grand" about this place. It's very old and dated. At one time you could tell it was a beautiful hotel but I feel it has lost it's Grand presents. The star rating obviously needs to be reevaluated as it does not match its current level. I actually refer to this place as the "House of Hair" as there was hair everywhere. I was even graced with a pubic hair in the bidet. There was hair in the shower. There is hair on the bed linens. I was actually given three different rooms because the first two were facing a very public street and the doors to that area refused to close one would hardly even lock. I finally went downstairs and requested them to please put me on the other side. Although the door did not close at least it wasn't facing a busy street so the noise was definitely reduced. I understand their hesitation because there are three buildings under constant construction on the other side but luckily I wasn't around during the daytime much, except for a brief few minutes during the daytime before leaving again and could very much hear the constant banging. There was no noise late at night or very early in the morning when I was in the room so that was a good fit for me. For most people who might be in their room during working hours construction noise could be loud. I saw people enjoying the pool even with all the construction noise and honestly I don't know how they could stand it. I spoke with a few people on our tour and I was one of the lucky few with a shower curtain. For most all of them they didn't have shower curtains I luckily had a shower curtain and towels as I was told there was a limited number of those as well. I will say during my three-room debacle the people that I dealt with downstairs at reception were very generous and accommodating. No matter their frustration level they never broke and were very kind to me. Front desk definitely is five star level. Hotel itself it's closer to three stars but reception was great. I do recall that I had the dinner buffet at the hotel and that It was much better than the breakfast. The lentils at the buffet were so good and the mint tea was tasty when available. The two days I had breakfast I wasn't overly impressed. There were a few options but none to my particular taste and the coffee machines were down or not giving the correct item. The best thing about the hotel was the chocolate bakery around the corner connected to the hotel so yummy!! The hotel is located outside of the main tourist areas and is a 30-minute walk to get to the bazaar on a nice day this is a great walk down quiet streets with a couple of small grocery stores and cafes along the way. Only two of the three elevators were working so if you have small children watch them as the third elevator that wasn't working only had plywood leaning up against it not secure against the wall.

Here's a revised version of your complaint tailored for platforms like **Google Reviews** and **Tripadvisor**. These platforms favor **clear, concise, and structured feedback**—often with a star rating or summary up top, followed by detailed issues. This version retains the impact of your original while adapting to those formats: --- 1/5 – A Deeply Disappointing Stay at the Grand Mogador We stayed at the Grand Mogador expecting a four or five-star experience, but what we encountered was far below acceptable standards. Our 10-day stay was filled with serious issues ranging from hygiene problems and false information to poor service and lack of management accountability. Key Issues: Poor Check-In Experience After 24 hours of travel, check-in was stressful and unwelcoming. Even though our Booking.com reservation allowed two persons, we were forced to pay an extra full rate without any flexibility or willingness to help resolve the matter. Unclean Room Upon Arrival We entered our room to find a dirty, unflushed toilet. This level of cleanliness is absolutely unacceptable. Deceptive Information About Room Amenities The room’s thermostat didn’t work, and we were told different stories by the front desk and maintenance. One claimed it was "designed that way" while the other admitted it was under repair. Misleading guests is never okay. Broken and Unsafe Fixtures The showerhead was leaking and loose. Despite reporting it, we ended up fixing it ourselves because no one came after a long wait. Water Leaks and AC Failure Water began leaking from the ceiling into the entryway, and the AC completely failed. I had to interrupt my fiancé during an important event to allow repair staff into the room. Still, no manager was available to speak with us. Construction Debris Left Behind We found construction waste behind our room door. Another lapse in basic housekeeping and guest safety. Unresponsive and Unhelpful Staff Despite repeated complaints, our concerns were not taken seriously. No management follow-up, no real solutions offered—only a 15% massage discount and an impractical room change mid-stay. Repetitive, Low-Quality Breakfast Same food every single day for 10 days. Very limited options—especially for a hotel of this caliber. Understaffed Front Desk Frequently only one staff member available, causing long lines and delays, especially during peak hours. Unsanitary Buffet and Pool Area Birds were seen eating from the breakfast buffet, and cats were climbing onto tables by the pool to eat unattended food. Serious hygiene concerns that should be addressed immediately. Final Thoughts: This stay was stressful, uncomfortable, and incredibly disappointing. I expected far more from a hotel with the Grand Mogador name. There were too many preventable issues, and no one took responsibility or offered a meaningful apology or resolution. I **do not recommend** staying here unless major changes are made to service, cleanliness, and management.

0 respect from the hotel’s reception who insulted us 0 security and the night manager wasn’t present and we called the police as it’s clear in the picture :) 08/09/2024 in Marrakech terrible customer service and 0 security NB: I would like to clarify some key points regarding the incident involving my group during the stay at your hotel. Firstly, we sought and received permission from the reception team upon our arrival, and I encourage you to review the security footage from around 9:45 PM for confirmation. Regarding the claims of abuse, I find it important to highlight that one cannot speculate about a situation without understanding the context. It's perplexing to assert that a girl could have abused a man in this scenario. Moreover, I want to address the involvement of law enforcement. Contrary to what has been suggested, I personally contacted the police after our distressing experiences at your establishment, which, unfortunately, has not met the standards of respect we expect as guests. There were 3 of us present during the incident, and we are pursuing legal action against your hotel due to the events that transpired. We believe this case highlights a lack of respect for your guests, rather than the other way around. The police will soon acquire the video footage, and several staff members, including Mr. Youssef from the catering team, witnessed the incident and were understandably shocked. I must also bring to your attention that your receptionist verbally insulted us, using derogatory language that is unacceptable in any context. It is important to recognize that if there were any breaches of protocol, addressing issues should not involve insults or physical abuse, as can be confirmed by the camera footage. I would like to highlight another disturbing fact: your security personnel had to wake your receptionist from the back room as he was not on duty during the incident. This lapse in responsibility is something that can also be verified through the cameras, and it has been communicated to the police. Additionally, the receptionist's decision to lock us in is illegal, especially given that this occurred around 4 AM while he was verbally assaulting us. In summary, I cannot comprehend how your establishment can defend a man who allegedly abused three women and locked them in while hurling insults. Such behavior should be staunchly condemned, and I would hope that no establishment would take pride in such defenses.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL AS YOU'LL REGRET FOR THE REST OF YOUR TIME.

We booked 2 rooms for 7 nights. This hotel does not match the 5 star standards it claims it provides and should be removed from listings as the information is misleading.

There are 3 cranes swinging over our heads whilst swimming with banging noise from 3 different construction sites right behind the hotel. The construction force shake the hotel amd you can feel the shaking whilst lying down on bed during construction hours. We were scared it was earthquake and it does not stop.

The kettle and the fridge isnt working. The hot water pressure in our room was very weak which can be seen in the video. I nearly injured myself trying to open the bathroom door and the doorknob came out of the door. A video of this is available.

The balcony door does not open unless slided with direct force manually.

A chair from my parents room have been taken without notice. We dont know who entered and where it has gone.

The indoor pool was not open as opposed to what was advertised. It was promised to be opened on the 26th may when we got there. Then postponed to 27th. Then was told that it wont be ready. Now this is highly inconvenient as we booked this hotel for my parents who needed heated pool. So our stay was meaningless in the end with a ruined holiday.

We ordered takeaway food. Signed a paper at the reception upon receiving the food confirming and accepting that the food was ordered from outside as i was pregnant, i was very hungry and particular of what i needed to eat. Eventually when we went to restaurant area to ask for condiments, we were denied despite the waiter having had them right in his hands. When i said i was pregnant and very hungry and he was being unreasonable, he just chucked a ketchup and mayo to my husbands hand from someone elses plate that he had just cleared. None of his workers behind told him to be reasonable and use common sense and give what was required. We then went to reception who then called the manager to bring us ketchup and mayo himself who said it is their policy to not give this because the food from outside is not allowed. This is a lie as we signed a paper at the reception confirming and approving bringing the food from outside. It took us 20 minutes to receive our service and dealing with almost 10people to get ketchup and mayo. We were also denied when we offered to pay for it as part of room service as we didnt want to wait but was denied that.

Some of the restaurant staff go around the tables whose name we can provide, smile and start a short welcoming conversation to last seconds after which they immediately ask for positive reviews mentioning their names and they hand you a QR code to scan to write the review there and then. This is pure fraud as we came to this hotel reading these misleading and untrue forced positive reviews and it cost us more than £1k and 7 unhappy days. This is such a shame where the hospitality has come to. All the smiles given to guests to ask for fake reviews to mislead people to come to their hotel.

During some of the days of our stay, no buffet dinner was available were told that it would not be on as some days they dont do it. How is this a 5 star hotel is beyond our understanding. Truly disappointed.

The Hotel Guest Manager said he wished we raised our concerns beforehand so he cpuld have treated us to better deals in their restaurant or spa or tours etc. But we did not book this hotel for free meals or tours. We wanted to just sit and relax with kind staff helping us and perhaps use their indoor pool which they lied about. HE SAID He'd raise these with the owner and get back to us but we didnt hear anything from them...

I should start with the positives. The entrance & reception area is impressive and magnificently decorated. On the whole the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. The pool is lovely and the large, enclosed pool area is spacious and well organised. The food at the buffet restaurant is very good. My wife also said that the mirrors, lighting, and hair dryers arrangements were all better than average. But the longer we stayed (six nights in total), the worse things became. ||We had come for a nice relaxing break, we wanted to spend time by the pool and enjoy the sunshine. That worked well most days. And then at 3pm each afternoon the gentle music and relaxed atmosphere around the pool changed completely as the music switched to pounding music with club beats and the volume was cranked up so high that we couldn't hold a conversation with each other, couldn't concentrate on reading, couldn't sleep. We went to our rooms to escape the racket and it was just as bad there because the rooms are so badly soundproofed. It was like somebody bashing your head with a biscuit tin for four hours every day. Horrible. There was a suggestion that the music was so loud to try and counter the construction noise at the neighbouring building sites but no noise that we heard from there was anything like as bad as the terrible levels of the music playing in the Menara. It is completely unnecessary and completely ruined any chance of relaxation.||Just as well it was too loud because if we'd have wanted to sit on the balcony we couldn't. Because there was only one chair. A twin/double room, only one balcony chair. ||And then there was the saga of the light bulbs. We had a few lights in our room that were not working. We asked at reception numerous times to have the bulbs replaced. Every time the response was the same "Oh, hasn't it been fixed yet?". It was never fixed. ||And then there was the leaking air conditioning unit. Day after day we woke up with water running down the walls and puddles of water on the tiled floor in the room. Again, reported to reception. Yes, the maintenance man will come. No one every turned up. It's a potential injury risk and but no one seemed to care. Because nobody fixed it and nobody cleared it we had to use out own bathroom towels to soak it up.||We were also mystified by the bed linen arrangements. There was a card in the room that said something like "if you only want to have the bed made leave this card on the bed, but if you want to have the bed linen changed, then do no not leave the card on the bed" (it could have been the other way round, it doesn't matter). Whatever we did, the bed linen was not changed. So I really don't see the point in the card because the housekeeping takes no notice of them anyway. ||And then there was the state of the bathroom. The enamel on the bath was peeling off and the bath was stained. There was the remains of a broken fixture on the wall above the bath that was just rusting away. The chrome on the shower head was flaking off. This is supposed to be a five star hotel, The bathroom looked like a no star doss house. Check the photos.||We also turned up at the restaurant one evening at around 7:30 to find that it was in complete darkness. No warning that they weren't going to be open. Just...
