L'Ardoise du Marché — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

Found this gem during a late evening Google Maps search while in Marrakech. I walked from the Movenpick Hotel, which was about 15 minutes. Nice walk. I love everything about this place. The food, the service, the wine, the music, the decor. I arrived by myself on a late August Friday night around 10:00 PM without a reservation and had an amazing meal. Every one of the staff were genuine and friendly from the get go. I ordered escargot, carpaccio, duck. Each was impressively prepared. The French wines by the glass were great and exceeded expectations. You’ve got to go here if you’re in the area. Do not miss it....

We went here for a business dinner, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The food was as good as any in Paris! I had the foi gras, escargot, and entrecôte with local Moroccan wines, which are always a pleasure. The only difference from France was the service, it was absolutely top notch. Our server, Yousra, was great, she was so pleasant and professional. The owner stopped by often and the chef came out to explain the courses and pairings. I can’t wait to go back...

We really enjoyed our lunch here as a family. Most of us had the set lunch with very thing tasting great and huge portions. The environment and staff are lovely. We really like the baguette so we asked if we can take the second basket that was untouched to go but they kindly gave us a whole baguette to go which we really appreciate.
