Me my partner and daughter of 8 months stayed here , I was quite unsure after reading all the negative comments people left, but after staying here , I do not have one complaint at all , the desk staff , was a guy and a lady , both very welcoming and polite , to the housekeeping where very good , and always played around with our baby every time they saw her . Breakfast- don’t have nothing to complain about , because you get what you pay for, there was just enough , boiled eggs , fruit , cheeses , yogurts , bread , and a variety of warm food etc .. , they will do you a omelette or scrambled eggs if you ask one of the staff , no problem whatsoever . The waiters , I did not get their name but a big thank you , specially for your kindness, helping with anything we needed , and once again always playing with baby Noa . Rooms- where fine , people complained it was too dull or needed refurbished, but it’s Morocco , you get the Moroccan colours and old styles . I liked it :) Used the pool plenty of times , always nice and clean , towels always available for you when you go up to the rooftop , and u can ask for a menu and they will assist you with what you want . Walking wise , you have restaurants, bars , and a shopping malls near by , you can walk to the Medina Souks , that’s about 30 mins walk , we didn’t walk as it was to hot with the baby , but everything is close by. (Heads up , for people that start filming and taking pictures as they will come over and expect you to pay , or they will try and put a monkey on your shoulder , or place a hat on your head) Thank you all the staff for a wonderful and pleasant stay . Rachael , Joel and Baby Noa

Location is perfect as Gueliz is the new town of marrakesh, close to a shopping centre and plenty of restuarents surrounding the hotel. It's a 30 min into Medina old town. Although the room was nice and everything we needed unfortunately the drainage system was bad and very slow to drain the water. If you don't like cats then maybe search for a different hotel as the management allow cats in the lobby area and I think this is something management should prevent in future cases. I would also recommend getting a yellow cab from the airport (around €7 euro) as we booked transport through the hotel when we landed and cost €13. The pool is situated on top of the hotel, it's nice and small but very cold water and it doesn't warm during sunny periods (March). Although it was good value for what we payed and we look forward to maybe staying with Hotel Almas in the near future.

This hotel is situated in Gueliz, the posher end of Marrakech. Excellent location and only 25 to 30 min walk to the Medina or 3 min taxi ride ( £2). The staff are brilliant. Breakfast was fine, fresh but repetitive. The pool is small but good enough. Can be noisy on the terrace but you are in the centre near busy roads. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops and a Mall near by. If you want alcohol Carrefour has it but before 8pm. The bedrooms need a bit of attention but are extremely clean, as is the rest of the hotel. The reception and door staff were superb, friendly, helpful and would guide you to local patisseries and Hammams. Special mention to Omayma, Rachid and Ouiam..who work at reception. They were so kind and helpful. Only comment is that there is building work going on in front of the hotel so try ask for a room at the back ( my room was great).

We chose this hotel hoping for a convenient, family-friendly stay close to the city, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations.

The shower drain was blocked upon arrival. Although we reported it and were told it was fixed, the issue persisted throughout our stay. Staff interactions were unhelpful and at times, outright rude. Basic amenities like an iron were not available, which was frustrating.

One of the strangest and most inconvenient policies was the ban on bringing in or ordering food from outside. This made things especially difficult with a young family.

As for the pool – calling it that is a stretch. It’s more like a large tub on the rooftop, with barely any depth. Definitely not what you expect when booking a hotel that promotes itself as offering spa-like features.

The only positive was its location, which saved us from relying on taxis. But next time, I’d rather book a proper spa hotel a bit further out – even if it means a longer commute – than compromise on comfort and...
