A brilliant and traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina, this restaurant totally deserves the 5 star rating. The Tanjia was slow-cooked to perfection, prepared over 6 hours to make it the most tender and flavoursome beef I personally have ever eaten, with the Moroccan fluffy bread to mop up all the sauces and gravy. The starters were simply splendid, with the soup perfectly encapsulating the heart of Marrakesh's culture. The Baba Ganoush was a sublime blend of flavours and spices, and the taktouka was a brilliant and rich meal. Customer service was simply amazing, with Saloua catering to each and every of our needs, and being just generally a friendly and amiable person to talk to. She was happy to fulfill our every desire, and overall a kind and compassionate individual. My partner had the Spaghetti Bolognese, while I opted for the Tanjia Marrakchia which was absolutely stunning.

When the Tanjia was poured onto the plate, my jaw almost fell to the floor. The meat was incredibly well cooked and expertly seasoned, as well as being quite a large portion. Slightly more expensive item on the menu but worth every Dirham!

One of the staff members was kind enough to turn on the lights in the Riad that could be seen through the windows of the upper floor of the restaurant, so that I could see (he noticed me peeking through the window). I was absolutely blown away by the scale of the Riad and the detailing of the plaster work on the arches and columns. Will be amazing to see when it’s completed.
