A really excellent restaurant that I’ve now added to my list of Marrakech favourites. On the roof of the beautiful Izza Marrakech, whilst a little out of the way I recommend everyone to go.
Gorgeous surroundings and top-end attention to detail, from the cutlery and crockery to the delicious butter and bread. The food is outstanding, I was just annoyed that as I was on my own I only got to try three dishes. For lunch I had a starter and two delicious sides, which were substantial portions that I thought would be too much, but were so good I polished them off.
To top it off, the team were charming, friendly and super efficient. I didn’t catch the name of the lovely young lady who looked after me but I believe she said she was an intern. She was marvellous and I know she’ll go far.
I will be staying one night in Marrakech in August, and I've just cancelled my existing reservation and booked to stay at Izza instead based on my experience at lunch. So I'm really looking forward to...
Read moreAbsolutely magical rooftop dining experience. The restaurant atop our riad was an unexpected gem—tranquil, romantic, and surrounded by a lush rooftop garden that made it feel like a hidden oasis above the city. We were greeted by warm, genuinely friendly staff who were attentive throughout the evening and spoke English fluently, making everything smooth and welcoming.
The sharing plates were beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The spice combinations were creative and perfectly balanced—each dish offered something pleasantly surprising. The standout was the watermelon, cucumber, and pistachio dish—refreshing, vibrant, and unlike anything we’ve tried before.
Dining by candlelight with the sounds of birds in the background added to the dreamy ambiance. This place is a must-visit for anyone staying in the area. An unforgettable meal in an...
Read moreTotal mess from start to finish. Out of both dishes we wanted. Starters took 1:15 to come out. Overpriced and not very nice for what they were - croquettes fine but tiny portion; beet salad essentially cut beets with 3 tiny dabs of cheese and two pieces of salad. Requested more bread and it never came. Mains underwhelming. Gnocchi had literally 9 pieces, topped with a mysterious green sauce, tough sun-dried tomatoes and flavourless cheese. Octopus better but nothing spectacular. Servers apologetic but completely MIA for large swaths of time during the meal, including the wait for the starters. Would not return - a real disappointment and one of the worst meals we’ve had in Marrakech in many years. There are many other options in the city and this place is trendy but does not deliver at all....
