We spent a couple of days in Marrakech and were looking for some really nice local eateries. However most of the recommendations we got were highly touristy and super expensive. We even tried places burnt money for poor quality food before we discovered Mokhtar’s little gem of a boutique restaurant. The food here is cooked with love and patience, everything is fresh and made to order. We were made to feel at home, Mokhtar even translated the menu for us to English. We liked the food so much that we came back 2 nights in a row for dinner. On our request Mokhtar specially cooked the food to cater to our tastes and spiced it up a knotch for our palate. The food is reasonably priced and truly homestyle, and packed with flavour. The veg tangine is really good and the chicken tanjia and tangines are also lovely. This place is true to authentic Moroccan food, true to guests and true to the heart. I will come back again on my next trip to Marrakesh, thank you...

The spices were perfectly balanced, and the rich, savory sauce had just the right amount of depth. The restaurant itself had a warm, authentic atmosphere, with traditional decor and friendly service that made us feel like we were part of the local culture. The staff was knowledgeable about the dishes and happy to explain the history behind tanjia and other Moroccan specialties. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to experience the true flavors of Marrakech in a cozy and welcoming setting. I’ll...
