I don't know how this place has such a high rating on Google. The menu is a collection of Asian dishes with limited local choices. We have no choice but to order Pad Thai and Momo. The Pad Thai has an okay presentation, but it must be the worst Pad Thai I have ever had! As an ethnic Chinese who has travelled to many Asian countries, I dare say it falls short of the minimal standard of Asian restaurants. The chicken Momo is dry but passible.

IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER’S IRRESPONSIBLE CLAIM THAT WE ORDERED KUNG PAO CHICKEN INSTEAD OF PAD THAI:

I quote the Owner’s response:

Namaste Yvonne, You friend had ordered kungpao noodle with chicken which is completely different from Pad Thai, I believe your disappointment. Please have Padthai with us. Thank you.

The owner must learn to accept non-favourable but honest comments instead of falsely claiming the review was inaccurate. Any sensible Asian who doesn't have to be Thai will tell you the food picture I posted is Pad Thai, especially since it comes with peanut powder and a wedge of lime next to the dish.

And if the dish is indeed Kung Pao noodles, as the owner claimed, I question the restaurant’s capacity to take the order correctly because it's hard for travellers to forget what they have ordered when the menu is a jumbo random pieced together of famous Asian dishes with disastrous twists, such as...

Inspired by Newari culture, this converted home-turned-restaurant is a visual delight. The intricate architecture, traditional tables, doors, and even the toilets reflect the rich history that has thrived within these walls.

The warm and welcoming ambiance makes you feel like a guest in someone's home. While the food is decent, if you want an authentic Newari culinary experience, exploring the nearby alleyways is recommended. This family-run business offers genuine hospitality and friendly smiles. As soon as you enter, you'll notice the serene atmosphere and a notable change in the ambiance. While it may not be crowded like other places, this is actually a benefit for those seeking a peaceful and serene environment.

The pricing might be slightly higher, but it's worth it for those who appreciate the lush greenery and unique ambiance. Additionally, it also serves as a great co-working space where you can meet like-minded individuals. If you're looking for a place to unwind, soak in the atmosphere, or connect with others, Mayur Restaurant is a...

The best part of the restaurant was the ambience 😍😍😍 Cultural style restaurant 👌👌 peaceful 🥰 heritage and culture lover are must recommended to go here 🙏🙏 On coming to food.. Foods were of low spicy 👌 no oils 👌 tastes homely.. I ordered ginger honey, where honey was brought on separate plate which was best part as I could add honey as my preference 😍😍 Kung pau noodles has great mixture of a bit spice and satisfaction 👌👌 The only bad point was the size of momo, which was only small 🤏 size but the price was very high.. But the taste was awesome 🤟🤟 The taste of momo was very surprising 😍😍 every single momo was hitting the different taste.. The staffs were well behaved ❤❤😊😊 Overall i would recommend to visit this restaurant. P.S - They have service of guest...

We were really disappointed with our experience here. We ordered the chicken local thali and the red Thai curry with chicken and rice, and unfortunately, both dishes fell short—especially for the price. The chicken in the thali was overcooked. The daal in the thali was extremely watery, and the vegetables were undercooked. The red Thai curry was overly salty and had only three small pieces of chicken in it. To make things worse, the service was poor. One of the staff members had a terrible attitude—when we raised concerns about the food, they showed no interest in helping, simply dropped the dishes on the table and walked away. Overall, not worth the price or the experience.
