We spent two nights there with my husband in August and we loved it. We were traveling with a group, otherwise we would have stayed longer. The room was clean and basic, we had a small balcony and a magnificent view. Also the breakfast terrace was amazing. I was sorry I didn’t take too many photos. The owner and the staff were extremely kind and helpful in many ways. The hotel is right in the center, one step away from the Durbar square. The hotel is very simple, for this price you can’t expect a luxury hotel, but it has all you need and most of all, a kind owner who makes you feel home. If you’re a light sleeper I suggest bringing ear plugs as the habitat of the city like to wake up early in the morning, visit temples and do their routines.

We strongly recommend this property if you are visiting Bhaktapur old city. We (couple) booked this motel through Air Arabia holidays. This property is 50 meters away from Bhaktapur Darbar Square and few hundred meters away from Dattatreya temple. All facilities including restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops very very close by. Its a basic motel. The room was good, excellent bathroom with full time hot water, We had a balcony overseeing the ancient quarters of Bhaktapur. The host Mr. Suresh is a friendly person with lots of advises and inputs for tourists. The breakfast is at the rooftop and it is yummy. You are assured of good times while staying here. We stayed here for 3 nights.

We had a great experience at Vintage Home. The bed was comfortable and the room came with a balcony which offered a great view. The hot shower was reliable and the staff were extremely accommodating. The owner, his young staff and cleaner lady were all fantastic. They made our stay amazingly enjoyable. We were looking for an ac room. Although they didn’t have one, we were provided with a standing fan which did the job just fine. The breakfast served was fresh and pleasantly enough. We would definitely come back here in future.

This is a small hotel run by the head guy, his young assistant, and a woman who cleans the rooms and does laundry. That's it. It's the smallest staffed hotel I stayed at easily my entire time in Nepal. Breakfast was served on the rooftop between 8:00 - 9:00. (The days I was there, everyone more or less showed up at 8:00 am.) Breakfast consisted of egg, white bread toast, tea of coffee, and some slight variation (pancake or grilled veggies). For the price I paid for a room, the breakfast was decent. The hotel arranged a driver to take me to see the early morning sunrise (that all went off without a hitch). The room was pretty basic. I had a balcony, and a simple fan which kept the temperature at a decent coolness in the night. There was noise from neighbors some nights, but things got quiet after 9:00 or 10:00 pm. I had my laundry done twice while I was there at a very reasonable price. Almost every single bathroom I encountered in my Nepali hotels had issues (by American standards). This bathroom was no exception. Of the three days, I couldn't get hot water at all for the shower one time, and on another day, it took forever. The shower controls weren't intuitive to say the least. Sometimes there was someone at the front desk, other times there was no one. (Due to the small staff.) Whether you are happy here or not depends on what sort of things bother you. For the price point, I couldn't...

⭐ 1 Star – Worst Experience Ever!

I visited this place today and everything seemed fine until I ordered food and requested a shampoo since there was none in the bathroom. I ordered buff momo, chips chilly and veg chowmein.

After a long wait, a white guy with tattoos on his hand, either a waiter or another staff member, brought only the momo. To my surprise, he admitted that the momo was ordered from outside and said they forgot to put momo’s achar. He then insisted that I eat it and even offered a discount instead of taking responsibility. I refused and asked him to replace it with fried rice.

After almost an hour, the same person came back with the same momo and tried to serve it again, this time with achar. I rejected it once more. In the end, they still charged me Rs. 500 for just chips chilly and veg chowmein.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel. I was surprised to find that there was no drinking water provided in the room. I had to go to the front desk myself to request and collect it. In my opinion, providing complimentary bottled water in the room should be a basic standard in any hotel stay. This also affected the overall experience. The service was careless, dishonest and completely unprofessional. A place like this should be ashamed to treat guests in such a way. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. They truly need to learn what...

Instead of doing a day trip to Bhatapur, we decided to stay the night, and I'm so glad I did. It was wonderful to wonder the streets after the crowds had left and the sun was down. Especially climbing the temples.||The Hotel Vintage Home Hotel is two short blocks from Durbar Square and less than a 5-ish minute walk from Taumadhi Square. It is small (maybe 10 rooms?) and very friendly. I made my reservation directly via Whats App and they requested cash. The price was low enough that I didn't even bother checking out of my Kathmandu hotel. We left most of our stuff there and just took an overnight bag.||Breakfast is served in the rooftop. Our room had a balcony - you can see the mountains to the north on a clear day and a wet bathroom. Like all the hotels (even the "fancier" ones we encountered), there is no central heating, so bundle up if going in winter. ||Two specific tips:||1. For temperature control, keep your door shut at all times - even if you are just stepping out for a moment. I ill-advisedly left the door open while my husband was in the room and I stepped up one flight to check out the roof. It was then that I discovered there is no door / wall to the rooftop - the central "indoor" stairwell has a roof but is otherwise open to the elements. Our room lost all its heat in though few minutes!||2. You may only have 1 roll of toilet paper - check before going to bed to...
