D Moksha Mustang Thakali — Restaurant in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Very disappointed! Went there with my family after seeing all these good reviews. Over priced and over hyped. The service was excellent, very attentive staffs and the ambiance was nice as well but it all comes down to the food.

We had few dishes as our entrées, chicken chilly was okay. Pork sekuwa only 8 pieces, the way it was marinated was weird all we could taste was the spices. The chicken momo, the filling was salty. Chicken pizza was okayish. The mocktails, could have been better every drink tasted like sugar syrups.

Now, the main part of the dinner which was the Thakali set, which is the main attraction of this place. I am absolutely surprised how the other reviewers found the thalis so great, maybe we went there on a bad day. Anyway, the thakali sets were ready in 5 mins after we ordered as a result of that our meals were served mild cold (we were not even close to the closing time). The fried potatoes were cold as rock, inedible. Instead of that traditional sadheko aloo would have been better if you are going to serve us something cold. The bitter melon was salty. The Fish curry was bland, too much peas in panner curry and very few pieces of paneer. Even the top ups weren’t warm enough. This is so disappointing cause you guys are actually focused on thakali and this is what you served us. I am so sorry but there are definitely better thakali places than this one.

Last but not least, the horrible dessert we had, tiramisu, whatever you guys are serving that is not tiramisu at all. The thing was disgusting, it was like absolute rubber. Tiramisu doesn’t look or taste like that. I feel extremely sorry writing this review, i spent 20k+ and got this experience. I feel so sorry for the staff “Ravi” would served us with so much joy. Easy accessible on the main road Guard was ready to salute any time😊 Very much peaceful sitting and music Diffrent authentic ambiance than other restaurants with valiant parking with good waiter service by waiter however while entering we didn't found any host to guide for sitting.. cheff was too keen n generous for asking about the food he served which was very good sign of hospitality too.. Local chicken thakali combo set was out of the box, kids liked cheese ball, jhol momo was also perfect as well as sekuwa and fish taareko.. however they haven't completely finished 2nd floor yet being member in guest list one can enjoy good discounts too they have kids zone too bt its only...

Recently visited this restaurant with a friend for lunch, and we had a great experience. We tried the burger and the chicken thali set; both were filling and delicious. The restaurant is conveniently located beside the main road and offers ample parking space, which is a big plus. The entire building is dedicated to the restaurant, featuring a cafe and a banquet setup as well. The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was commendable. Overall, it's a fantastic place to go for lunch and dinner, especially if you're looking to enjoy typical Thakali food in Kathmandu. Definately...
