Bota Mo:Mo — Restaurant in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Quiet a popular place for momo lovers. Has multiple branches around Kathmandu, in Basantapur in the Jocchen/Freak Street gully and right opoosite to Traffic Police Headquters in Kamalpokhari are the ones I have visited. The Kamalpokhari branch is in the office area. Kamaldi and Kamalpokhari areas have a lot of private banks and shops so it is quiet busy during lunch time.

The service is great, the sitting area and ambience is nice. There is a lot of variety of momos you get here. And you can also get sekuwa here, not momo sekuwa but normal sekuwa. No cold drinks on offer though and that is a bummer. Over all a nice place if you have a palate for variety of momos.

I personally don't like fancy stuff done to my momos. I like my momos simple, steamed. All the sadheko, bhuteko, sekuwa, open and all doesn't entice me as much as it may entice the next person. But it is worth the experience and the momos do...

Our main purpose to visit here was for open momo and I cannot explain how disappointed we were. The keema filling was of decent amount but I felt the outer coating was kinda thicker. The main disappointment was achaaar. Open momo is generally served with 4 varieties of achaars everywhere. It was the same here. But they didn't even serve us the signature momo achaar with tomato and peanuts. They served ketchup (who does that), other green (probably mint/coriander) and grey (idk what that was). They were so bland and tasteless and not even spicy. The good taste of momo worsened due to the achaars served.
