Tahina Terrace — Restaurant in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

This restaurant served the perfect meal after our arduous trek. The Mediterranean cuisine was a lovely contrast to all the Nepalese food I’ve had throughout the trip.

The shish kebab, mushroom risotto, and calamari fritti were absolutely delicious. But the star of the night had to be the baba ganoush.

Terrific ambience, great spot overlooking the city and mountains in the distance. The service was very friendly and efficient. The menu options are international and nicely presented.

Surprisingly, the food quality was slightly lower than expected. The salmon was a tad underdone, and the shrimp was not served hot. Such a shame!

This was not just a restaurant service, it was a whole experience in and of itself. We ordered food and they actually brought a complementary pita pizza for us while we were waiting.
