Love it!

I’ve been missing the Vietnamese food at Pokhara since they closed due to Covid. Visited here when I was in Kathmandu and yes, this place is really good.

The seating arrangements are of variety from outside gardens to cozy interiors, and roof tops, the decors are also very pretty.

We had some coffee which was great, of course a pho, pork ribs, summer rolls and the classic papaya salad; all of which were fantastic. The waiters are highly attentive and the food was ready very fast.

I wish they did have good parking, I could only see street parking and it’s kinda not preferred.

For accessibility, the main entrance has some steps and assistance is required for people in wheelchairs, however there are plenty of seating options inside for people in wheelchairs.

They accept cash, card, FonePay QR for payments and it is really easy, the prices on the menu include everything which is a thumbs up from me.

Definitely will visit again, and highly recommend. One star less...

Pho 99 Lalitpur serves a very good Vietnamese Pho.

We ordered the following - Chicken Pho Pork Pho Fried chicken spring rolls Stir fried noodles

What’s awesome -

  1. The portions are decently big - one dish for one person is more than enough
  2. Pho Chicken tastes great and the meat is soft
  3. Pho Pork tastes even better and the meat has great edible cuts and tastes great
  4. service is great
  5. has tons of parking space on the opposite site of the road to the shop
  6. ambience is great, not Vietnamese but feels just like a Vietnamese noodle shop in Nepal

What’s Meh -

  1. they’ve got their sauce mixed up. With the right sauce, Pho 99 can level up their Pho from 5 Star to 6 stars
  2. stick to traditional Vietnamese cuisine. We ordered stir fried noodles which tasted just like another chicken chowmein

Overall - what a great respite for noodle and Vietnamese food lovers. My Thai wife has consistent noodle cravings and Pho 99...

Pleasant greeting at entrance, service is lovely and environment is immaculate. I lived in a Vietnamese area overseas for years, so I am quite familiar with, and love my Viet food. This place is really good, my whole family - their first Viet cuisine experience - enjoyed it thoroughly. Their pork ribs are to die for. Their Deep Fried Wonton was nice, but personally, it tasted more like Nepalese dumplings than the former. They served complimentary Lemongrass tea (I think it's lemongrass), which was refreshing in this cold weather. Off-street parking. Food came fairly quickly. Slightly on the pricey side - our bill came to approx Nrs. 5500 (5 pax) but it was worth it. Great experience, will definitely be back!

P.S. i could be wrong with names of dishes in pics but mehh.....
