Don't go here if you aren't Dutch. Everybody who spoke Dutch was well cared for, and we weren't the only ones who had this problem..
We went there on a really not busy evening by chance, because they never replied to the reservation we tried to make online. They forgot our entree completely, as well as the desert. After we finished the main course and had seen another couple having to go to the bar to pay, we waited 25 minutes with empty plates and glasses in front of us until we gained the attention of a server who was vigorously cleaning tables. Another server made sure her friends outside got their meal, dessert etc - all in the time where we couldn't even get someone to acknowledge we're there! Just when we had decided we would have to go pay at the bar, too, my husband caught the attention of a waitress and we could pay after 5 more minutes.
There were at least 3 waitresses and 8 tables occupied. How can you screw that up?! We would have spend double the amount (at least) if anyone had bothered to come around or listened to our "Hello?", "Sorry?", "Excuse me?" etc. 2 hours for a main course, a beer and a drink.
Food was OK, can't really tell because we didn't even get half of...
Read moreGreat food, good looking restaurant but a very poor service.
The place was well decorated. It has all those (plastic) trees and wood that will make you think its the amazon, our at least in the nature.
We ordered pretty much since a lot seems very tasty, so when everything arrived, it covered up our whole table. (In our defence, the tables weren't that big)
We got the pom and moksi meti meals with telo with bakkeljauw as a side dish. All of those are definitely worth the price since they all came as big portions.
What is dragging the whole experience down here, is the service. Some of them are friendly but most of the time they are just standing there chatting with each other. Even when the food are made and ready to be served, it takes a while before they notice it(?) or just cut the chatting and do...
Read moreWe got the “all you can eat” menu but in reality it’s not at all all you can eat. Maximum 7 orders, 2 dishes per round per person with limited time of 2.5 hours. The service was so slow that it was impossible to order 7 times in 2.5 hours. Portions are super small, literally 1 piece of chicken thigh (you can see in the pictures). About the taste of the food, I can say some dishes were really good, but some were just ok. Overall, the taste was good. I can definitely see potential for the food but improvement in service and...
