Cribs Restaurant — Restaurant in Amersfoort

The first impression I noticed of the restaurant was that it looked very neat and modern from the outside. However, I had a reservation in this restaurant, but the moment I entered everything was full according to an employee. Also, my visit was during the corona crisis and there was no possibility to disinfect my hands, nor did it seem to be adequately taken into account with the 1.5 meter rule. The food itself was fine but was cold at times, it seemed to have been reheated. In addition, some plates were dirty and the tongs for taking the food were greasy. Now I was offered the solution to choose a dish from the menu. This dish was well prepared and tasted great! In addition to the exceeded corona measures, there were a few small tips for the manager of the company, which I will leave out here. The manager knows about this and I hope he will take these tips with him in the near future. If more time and effort will be put into the company, I am willing to visit again, but until then I do not recommend a visit to Cribs, therefore I'll give this restaurant a two star rating...

[Dutch] De eerste indruk die ik van het restaurant opmerkte was dat het er zeer netjes en modern uitzag vanaf buiten. Echter had ik een reservering in dit restaurant, maar op het moment dat ik binnenkwam zat alles vol volgens een medewerker. Ook was mijn bezoek tijdens de coronacrisis en was er geen mogelijkheid om mijn handen te desinfecteren, ook leek er niet afdoende rekening mee gehouden te worden met de 1.5 meter-regel. Het eten zelf was prima maar was af en toe wel koud, het leek opgewarmd te zijn. Daarnaast waren sommige borden vuil en waren de tangen om het eten mee te pakken vettig. Nu kreeg ik als oplossing aangeboden om een gerecht van de kaart te kiezen. Dit gerecht was prima bereid en smaakte prima! Er waren naast de overschreden coronamaatregelen nog een paar kleine tips voor de manager van het bedrijf, deze zal ik hier achterwege laten. De manager weet hier van af en ik hoop dat hij deze tips mee zal nemen in de komende tijd. Als er meer tijd en moeite zal worden gestoken in het bedrijf ben ik bereid nog eens langs te komen, maar tot die tijd raad ik bij deze het bezoek aan Cribs af, waarbij ik het restaurant een 2 ster...

We decided to try this place while walking around Amersfoort. Simple set up. Friendly owner. Prices were okay. If not mistaken specializing in Persian food although plenty of other dishes. It wasn't too crowded during weekday lunch.

Ordered their Bakhtiari kebab. Comes with 2 rows of chicken & beef kebabs with fluffy saffron rice & a simple salad. The kebabs were well made. Tender, juicy, smoky & flavorful. Rice was pretty good too especially with a dollop of butter. Huge portion overall. Was stuffed for the whole day. For drinks I ordered a mango smoothie which was thick, refreshing & not too sweet. Goes well with the meal.

A very nice location, outside by side of a busy street.

Not the most generous offer of vegetarian options but in the end plumped for the healthy salad sandwich.

Two problems encountered firstly the waiter did not want the order to be given from the English menu. That made declining the cucumber difficult.

Secondly when the sandwich arrived it had within an erroneous slice of processed meat.

The offending meat was removed as was the 🥒

The bun was nice and so was the sandwich also the service was good but best be cautious incase meat has wandered...
