This place has a neat and cozy interior. There is a terrace as well but we sat inside. The staff is friendly and helpful.
We ordered the shrimp ceviche and bisque for starters, and the tuna and "beekridder" as mains. The bottom of the menu explained that a beekridder is in terms of taste similar to salmon so we decided to give it a try.
The bisque (made of Dutch tiny shrimps) was excellent. The shrimp in the ceviche was nice but personally we thought the mango sauce was a bit too thick and the different textures in this dish didn't combine very well (radish, shrimp, fried corn kernels).
The tuna was nicely prepared and was very mild in taste. The lentils the tuna slices were sitting on were very strong in taste in comparison and slightly overwhelmed the taste of the tuna if eaten in combination. We didn't really understood why a sunny side up egg was added to the dish since we thought the dish was fine without it.
The beekridder dish was very tasty and nicely cooked filet. It reminded us of salmon trout rather than salmon though (earthy taste, light pink colored meat). Unfortunately after the first couple of bites hit some fish bone we realized there was a whole streak of fishbones that wasn't removed. When commenting this to the staff the response was that these fishbones were not removed because these were usually so thin that people could swallow them without issues. We took a picture of some of the fishbones and to us, they were too thick to swallow but maybe it differs per person. We were offered the choice to pick another dish but although we appreciated the offer we decided not to. Aside from the fishbones there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dish.

Read moreBeautiful seafood & fish restaurant with a waterside terrace! We had spiering and oysters for a start and the seafood platter for a main. All of the food tasted exquisite and was plenty!
Beware though, you might need some patience. As with all restaurants in the Netherlands they are understaffed, which is sad because it’s almost impossible to fix but it obviously influences the experience. People next to us were forgotten about and when we wanted to order cocktails they said “we’re out of cocktails”. After asking what that means he explained that there’s no one that has time to make a cocktail. Understandable of course but a few minutes before we were told that the cocktail menu is underway. This is something that needs addressing, be clear upfront about the staff shortage and that certain things might not be available. That way a customer can make an informed decision.
I would 1000% go again though, it’s a cute and delicious place to have some fish...
Read moreA place with potential, but the flavors need improvement. I had been wanting to come here for dinner for a while. We came for seafood. The place looks cozy, with a lovely terrace and a convenient location. We ordered wild dorade the fish seemed overcooked and had a texture more like boiled than baked. The shrimp were slightly undercooked, and overall the dishes lacked depth of flavor. In our opinion, the price doesn’t match the quality of the food. We tried several reasonable options from the menu, but the overall impression was average. For now, I’m giving it 3 stars, but I hope the kitchen will improve...
