We had a dinner for 4 with starters, 2 bottles of mid range wine and a single desert. Honestly I thought the food was pretty tasty and the meet cooked very well - the portions for the price are probably stretching the edges of acceptability but at least what we got was good to eat. (total bill 300 euros, which you can take a judgement on re: value as I am a visitor to the Netherlands)
Sadly the staff seemed tired and I think glad to get the weekend over with. We were out in a side area which had a squeaky slam door to the store room next to it, which was a little distracting.
At one point i did have to get up to order deserts after waiting more than 15 minutes for the staff to come over - is that too long? it felt it at the time tbh. They didn't worry about getting our coats on the way out but luckily i could see where they were hanging, so able to retrieve them. The waitress was busy on her phone and chef looked like he was ordering next weeks veg on his laptop, so they had things to do.

Een voortreffelijke keuken, eer aan de Franse gastronomie. De gerechten waren verfijnd en perfect bereid — een genot om mijn culinaire cultuur met mijn partner te delen. Complimenten aan de chef.
Maar helaas stort alles in door de service. Wat een gedenkwaardige avond had moeten zijn, werd een regelrechte poging tot oplichting.
Feiten:
• We bestelden 2 wine pairing-menu’s met 3 gangen, maar kregen de rekening voor het 4-gangenmenu. • Er werden 2 cappuccino’s en 1 espresso aangerekend die we nooit besteld hebben. • Het menu zou drie hartige gangen bevatten, maar we kregen twee gerechten en een dessert. Het dessert, dat geen deel uitmaakte van het menu, werd als derde gang geserveerd — en extra aangerekend. • Frietjes, normaal inbegrepen in het menu, werden apart gefactureerd.
Totaal van de poging tot oplichting: meer dan €55 voor twee personen. Na aandringen werd de factuur aangepast van €230 naar €180, en gaf de serveerster me €50 contant terug, zonder duidelijke uitleg. De bijgevoegde foto toont het volledige bedrag dat ik in contanten heb ontvangen, zonder bon of bewijs (moet ik contact opnemen met de fraudebestrijding en toezichthouders?). Toen ik om de gecorrigeerde factuur vroeg, aarzelde ze — en terecht: er stonden opnieuw fouten op.
Toen ik vroeg om terugbetaling van de onterecht aangerekende frietjes, smeet de serveerster letterlijk €6 naar mijn hoofd. Onacceptabel gedrag, zeker na het erkennen van de fout.
Conclusie: Een uitzonderlijke keuken, volledig verpest door een service die niet alleen slecht, maar ook onwettig en respectloos is. Ik verwacht een commercieel gebaar van de eigenaar, want zulke praktijken horen niet thuis in een restaurant van dit niveau.

Outstanding cuisine, a true tribute to French gastronomy. The dishes were refined and beautifully executed — a pleasure to share my culinary culture with my partner. Compliments to the chef.
Unfortunately, everything collapsed due to the service. What should have been a memorable evening turned into a blatant attempt at fraud.
Facts:
• We ordered 2 wine pairing menus with 3 courses, but were charged for the 4-course menu. • We were billed for 2 cappuccinos and 1 espresso that we never ordered. • The menu was supposed to include three savory dishes, but we received two dishes and one dessert. The dessert, which was not part of the menu, was served as the third course — and charged extra. • Fries, normally included in the menu, were billed separately.
Total overcharge: over €55 for two people. After insisting, the bill was adjusted from €230 to €180, and the waitress handed me €50 in cash, without any clear explanation. The attached photo shows the full amount of cash I received, with no receipt or official record (should I contact fraud and regulatory authorities?). When I asked for the corrected invoice, the waitress hesitated — and understandably so: it still contained errors.
When I asked for a refund for the wrongly charged fries, the waitress literally threw €6 at me. Completely unacceptable behavior, especially after admitting the mistake.
