Read moreI've tried roughly the same pancake now at three different pancakeries in the city so I could compare :-) I ordered a bacon, goat cheese and apple pancake (at letting drizzles honey in too which is a nice touch). I ordered from Pancake Bakery, Mama Pancake, and At Letting.
I actually popped into at letting by serendipity as it was raining and we needed shelter and food. The owner see us contemplation the menu and beconed us in.
The service was prompt and friendly. I really liked the pancake too: texture, gumminess and sweetness were all just right. The bacon was delicious as was the gist cheese. I think they could focus on a couple address to take their pancakes up a notch though
If they just carmelize the apples (or onions or whatever can be served carmelized, hot and on top) and serve on top rather than white little limp things inside the pancake. This would help with presentation and flavor as well as the serving temperature of the finished product (was not as hot as is like). Then I would have given 5 stars.
The menu offers tons of toppings to mix n match, and if you draw on some of their sandwich combos you can do some really creative things!
We also ordered a mango lassi but I found it to need more honey and mango flavor. It was much more lime and yogurt than I'm used to. Maybe it's a US thing? But the owners took the lassi off the bill when they saw I didn't drink it. Very thoughtful though it was an awkward scene.
In summary I would definitely return and recommend but the presentation and finishing of the pancakes could use a small amount of polish to look and taste more...
