At Letting Coffee Shop - A Taste of India in the Heart of AmsterdamLocated at Prinsenstraat 3, 1015 DA Amsterdam, At Letting coffee shop is a hidden gem that brings a delightful taste of Indian coffee to the Netherlands. My visit to this cozy and inviting café was nothing short of extraordinary, and it left me with fond memories and a desire to return soon.Ambiance and Atmosphere Upon entering At Letting, I was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming ambiance. The décor is chic yet comfortable, blending modern elements with a hint of rustic charm. Soft lighting and well-arranged seating create an inviting space perfect for both a quiet morning coffee and a casual meet-up with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The Coffee Experience The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Indian coffee. As someone who has enjoyed Indian coffee in its native land, I was thrilled to find a place in Amsterdam that offers such an authentic and rich flavor. The coffee was expertly brewed, with a deep, robust taste that perfectly balanced bitterness and aromatic richness. Each sip brought back memories of enjoying coffee in India, making the experience both nostalgic and delightful.Menu and Offerings While the Indian coffee was the star of the show for me, At Letting also boasts an impressive menu of other beverages and snacks. Their selection of teas, pastries, and light bites caters to a variety of tastes and preferences. The baristas clearly take pride in their craft, and it shows in the quality of their offerings.Overall Experience At Letting coffee shop is a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and anyone looking to savor a piece of India in Amsterdam. The combination of excellent coffee, charming atmosphere, and friendly service makes it a standout spot in the city. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, this café is sure to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience.I highly recommend stopping by At Letting coffee shop if you find yourself in Amsterdam. It’s a wonderful place to relax, indulge in some superb coffee, and perhaps, like me, enjoy a nostalgic trip down...

I've tried roughly the same pancake now at three different pancakeries in the city so I could compare :-) I ordered a bacon, goat cheese and apple pancake (at letting drizzles honey in too which is a nice touch). I ordered from Pancake Bakery, Mama Pancake, and At Letting.

I actually popped into at letting by serendipity as it was raining and we needed shelter and food. The owner see us contemplation the menu and beconed us in.

The service was prompt and friendly. I really liked the pancake too: texture, gumminess and sweetness were all just right. The bacon was delicious as was the gist cheese. I think they could focus on a couple address to take their pancakes up a notch though

If they just carmelize the apples (or onions or whatever can be served carmelized, hot and on top) and serve on top rather than white little limp things inside the pancake. This would help with presentation and flavor as well as the serving temperature of the finished product (was not as hot as is like). Then I would have given 5 stars.

The menu offers tons of toppings to mix n match, and if you draw on some of their sandwich combos you can do some really creative things!

We also ordered a mango lassi but I found it to need more honey and mango flavor. It was much more lime and yogurt than I'm used to. Maybe it's a US thing? But the owners took the lassi off the bill when they saw I didn't drink it. Very thoughtful though it was an awkward scene.

In summary I would definitely return and recommend but the presentation and finishing of the pancakes could use a small amount of polish to look and taste more...

With a name which sounds more like a description for an estate agent's office, At Letting is a small multi-cuisine all day dining restaurant and takeaway in the Jordaan's delightful Prinsenstraat with its charming assortment of dining establishments, shops and boutiques.

Given the size of the place, it's hard to imagine how they can successfully operate with such a diversity of menu items, but they do and they do it very well. Open 7 days a week, breakfast is served until midday and includes oven fresh croissants, all manner of egg dishes, American pancakes and full Greek yoghurt with seasonal berry fruits and honey.

During the afternoons, various High Teas are available, of which the Royal High Tea is the jewel in the crown.

All day offerings are a generous assortment of pancakes, open-face and club sandwiches, Surinamese roti rolls, soups and salads. At Letting is best known however for its outstanding Indian cuisine. There are curries to satisfy every palet and a good choice of Tandoori specialities. Highly recommended are the Butter Chicken, vegetable biryani and Tandoori Mix Grill, consisting of tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, lamb chops, fried prawns and seekh kebab. Drinks include Chardonnay and Cote du Rhone wines, Heineken, Amstel, Hertog Jan and Vedet Blond beers, as well as Cobra and Kingfisher Indian beers.

Prices are very reasonable and a children's menu is available. An outside terrace has limited seating. Online ordering and delivery services are offered through Thuisbezorgd...

Exploitative and Rude – Avoid “At Letting” on Prinsenstraat We’re no strangers to Amsterdam prices, especially during major events like Pride—but what happened at At Letting on Prinsenstraat was outright disgraceful. They crossed out the original menu prices with a pen and scribbled inflated ones directly over them to cash in on Pride Day. No updated menus, no explanation—just blatant, opportunistic price gouging. We were charged €21 for THREE small portions of fries and one Coke. Yes, seriously. And as soon as we were almost done eating, one of us tried to use the bathroom and we were rudely told to leave. No basic courtesy, just a clear message: once your money’s spent, you’re no longer welcome. Pride is a celebration of inclusion, respect, and community. Taking advantage of it to gouge visitors is not just greedy—it’s unethical. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. There are plenty of businesses in Amsterdam that will treat you with dignity and not just as a quick cash grab.
