Buffalo Steakhouse — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We were a group of 5 and went there to eat steaks. We ordered steaks, fries and a mixed meat plate. As the food arrived and we sliced it, we noticed that the cooking point was not even close to what we ordered. The meat (which we ordered as medium done) wasn’t just bloody, it was raw and that not just in the middle. Speaking of, the middle of the steak was still cold. Around the steaks there were big fat slices, partly centimeters thick. We also didn’t get fries, we got potato wedges. The sauce we bought as a side was okay. As we wanted to pay he was trying to convince us to pay with cash. We insisted on paying with card and that was the point where our waiter’s mood changed and the service which was okay till that point got bad. We got a bill and asked to split it. He just told us to say what we „want to pay“. We had to calculate what our food actually had cost per person ourselves. As it came to paying he also told us that the „service was not included“. When we didn’t tip as much as he expected his mood got even worse and he went inside without saying anything. The restaurant itself looked quite nice. Low quality of food and drinks, poor customer service, pricy. We entered in the restaurant because we saw outside of it a good and valuable menu. We waited for 15m to just get the menu to choose our food, then we waited 15m more minutes to be able to order. While ordering, we get to know that the menu is not available anymore. Everybody wanted that, we chose the place for that reason (other items in the menu were expensive), so we asked to speak with the boss, who was able to let us order that. He wasn't very happy, but had been polite. While taking back the menu he accidentally pushed my glass of wine and spilled it on the table. First thing he said was "It wasn't me" when everybody at the table clearly saw him. He brought me another glass of wine, but with half of the wine I had. We were there with three people. So I know steak houses are in a certain price range and this is not my first time being at one. However if you pay 35 Euros for a 300 gram steak you would expect at least a couple of fries or something similar on the side. Not here, that's an extra order of 4 Euros. We ordered two and just got one bowl with the words "these are for 2". Hmm, ok, so that's 8 Euros for a bowl of fries. If you also wanted some sauce to go with your steak (or fries, there's no ketchup or anything on the table), that's an extra 2,50 Euro order.
