We were visiting Amstradam and being away from were missing home cooking... As u do and I was impressed by the decor...hence the 1 star...but their prices are basically to reflect and recover the cost of redecorate.. The food.. A BIG NOOOOO NOOO...firstly the portions are taster size.. We ordered a portion of chicken tikka. And Spicy wings... Chicken biryani.. To our amazement the food arrived quickly. But ... The chicken tikka costed at €7.00...had just 4 tiny pieces of boneless chicken... Bland to the point of soap...the spicy chicken wings ..well guess what @ €10.50 we received 4 small nib let size wings...again very bland ....the biryani came with 4 pieces of chicken cubes stir fried into boiled rice... With no spicy.. N the 2 tandoori rotis could fly if u blew on them....so light... Oh n guess what we got some biryaani sauce as well as a free beee😡😡😡well that was basically out the freezer bag into the wok n into the plate..reminded the taste of hospital food....just to clarify that I requested the food to be extra spicy but no chance...yuk had to eat coz we were hungry... Hubby asked for some condiment of green chillies n guess what we got some onions as well but were charged for the condiment.. WHO DOES that?.. This restaurant is for those who have no clue of Indian food n have money to waste... But for people like me I'd rather eat a portion of chips n can of coke n be happy.....rather then spending €42.00 n still be hungry... NOOO way...sorry...had to...

Respect! If you don't respect your own words, how others can respect you, your business, and your services. We reserved a table after talking to its manager to use our Groupon in there because their online system didn't work. After our on time arrival, the same manager denied offering the reserved table and asked for full cash payment because it would be hassle free for him, he argued. It was a shame that he didn't respect his own words even after we showed the history of our call. The most shocking part was his indifference and the lack of willingness to resolve the problem. He just didn't care and we left there. Unbelievable!

P.S.: you can find below the manager's response to my original review above. I think the answer is self-explanatory. An ungrounded justification for a non-professional behavior to a customer. To be sure, the guy on phone introduced himself as the manager, and we conditioned our booking to the acceptance of our Groupon, and he agreed. The manager denied such a conversation, so we forced to show our call history, and finally despite what is mentioned below it was Groupon which refund our payment after our direct contact with them! As a former businessman and current business professor, I have strict ethical rules and refuse any offer from someone who doesn't respect his (or colleagues') words, so there were no point to stay in such a place for a dinner...

This is a nice and warm atmosphere restaurant with very polite and professional staff. I have been here four times now. They make good Indian food that is suitable for the western audience and also indians. The food retains its authentic ingredients and recipes. For example they do not substitute things for another as it is easier to find locally. It is a purely Punjabi restaurant. The naan bread is very good. They put black seed in the naan which gives it a unique flavor. The tandoori items were well Marinated blend of spices were nice but some of it missed the smokey touch and a bit more spices would have been nice to make it closer to the Indian feel. I have tried the lamb chops and I highly recommend it. It was the best tandoori dish. The karahi chicken reminded me of a lahori style karahi with onion and tomato base and garnish with ginger. The chicken karahi goes well with naan. The portions will make you full with one dish. And with every curry they give rice and vegetables. The quality of ingredients is very good. The cleanliness and hygiene standard is excellent. The owners are kind and humble people and always serve their guests with a smile. The meat is halal. The menu is not large but very well balanced with mutton , chicken, sea and vegetables. They also offer Indian beer for those who...

Firstly the lighting, furniture & decor was perfect a positive inviting environment score 10/10 Staff was welcoming from the time we entered till they said farewell staff service score 10/10 Now to rate the food I came to Nawaab today for dinner with a friend from work who was trying Indian food for the first time his experience in his own words he really enjoyed the food. We had a three course meal starter was samosa & pakora fresh n hot taste was good, main dishes spicy Keema for myself & mild Keema for my friend all the favours were spot on, mixed vegetables with Paneer this was a surprise, vegetables were fresh and paneer made this dish really tasty (chef did a great job), Rice was fresh made to perfection, Garlic cheese nan was delicious. Now coming to the desert to be honest both of us are not fans of sweet stuff would have been nice if we could have replaced it with coffee. I am planning to come again maybe with another colleague who has never tried desi food before If you would like to introduce Indian/desi curries to friends who have never tried it before I really recommend this place I took a few photos for this review Just to make it clear I came here with a Groupon offer and its definitely worth it.

Hun Papadum is lekker pittig! De boterkip en de okerschotel zijn echt een van de beste van Amsterdam. Echt om aan te raden!! Ik ben onlangs geweest en kom over een maand of 1-2 weer es langs!!
