Burger 'n Shake Amsterdam Noord — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I will be as respectful and as understanding as I possibly can in this review. We got to the resturaunt at 5:45, and placed our orders shortly thereafter. We were told that it’d take 15 minutes before they could start making burgers. There was only one girl working when we got there, but shortly thereafter there were 2 other employees who clocked in. We waited about half an hour for our food, excluding the 15 minute waittime. Our food varied highly in warmth, and one of our burgers wasn’t ready when the others got theirs (We were 5 people, understandable, but still a bit disapointing.) One burger was cold, two were a bit on the colder side, and one was juuuust right. I felt like Goldilocks. They also forgot our cola.

The atmoshphere was pretty dead, although we came at an hour that isn’t reported to be busy at all, it was fine for just being family there. The inside is decorated just alright, with their ingredients also doubling as decoration. Our table wasn’t too clean..

The food was alright, nothing to write home about, and I probably wouldn’t come here again unless I was already...

We went there as a family lunch and had around 50 minutes for a lunch. Picked this restaurant because we saw that it is an easy cooking lunch room which shouldn’t take long for waiting.

Turned out we were waiting just for drinks for more than 15 mins (coke, warm milk, and avocado shake) and the food we ordered took more than 25 mins (warm bread with spicy chicken, warm bread with sate chicken and sandwich ham cheese). And, there were only 2 tables (including us). What a long waiting.

The lady served us the two warm breads first without knowing which one was spicy or sate. We had to taste them ourselves in order to get the right order for each of us.

The sandwich took 25 mins, came with unmelted cheese and not proper grilled bread.

At the end, we had less than 10 mins to (hurry) finish our menus.

The prices are not cheap at all compared to the quality of food and service.

Our son even needed to ask for a to-go cup for his warm milk because it was way too...

Upon entering the very attentive owner welcomed me and helped me manoeuvre my wheelchair into the restaurant, before kindly stating he has to go somewhere and the staff would attend to me.

I was greeted by a nice chap called Othmone who explained the menu in some detail before recommending some options, the order process was very simple and within minutes my order was delivered cooked fresh by Maissa a very young elegant lady.

I cannot complain about the food and hygiene at this place, the food was pipping hot and fresh to the core. With great detail taken in the presentation, was asked before I was half way through about how my food was.
