I visited Cafecito Van Baerlestraat around 6 PM and had an unfortunately disappointing experience. When I arrived, the server was leaning over the counter, engaged in a conversation with a person who appeared to be installing something. It seemed as though she was completely disinterested in attending to customers, which left me unsure if anyone was available to take my order.
I stood by the counter where orders are typically taken, but no one acknowledged me. After waiting for a while, I asked if they were open, as I genuinely thought the place might have been closed due to the lack of service. The server responded, "Yeah, till 7," and then continued to ignore me.
The situation became more frustrating when I saw her take someone else's order after they interrupted her conversation. I approached her again to explain my confusion and the lack of service I received. Instead of understanding or apologizing, she responded with a rude attitude and dismissive body language, making me feel unwelcome and disrespected.
Her tone, eye contact, and overall demeanor conveyed that she didn't care about helping me. When I tried to explain the miscommunication, she just shrugged it off, saying, "Well, you stood there," as if it were my fault for not knowing her counter had changed after 5 PM. I expected her to come over, apologize, and ask for my order, but that never happened.
Feeling ignored and disrespected, I decided to leave without ordering. This experience was particularly disheartening and disappointing.
I hope the management of Cafecito Van Baerlestraat can address this issue and improve their customer service. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect...
Read moreCafecito in Amsterdam is one of my favorite spots in the city. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect for relaxing, whether youâre stopping by for a quick coffee or spending the afternoon catching up with friends.
The coffee here is exceptionalârich, aromatic, and crafted with care. I tried their signature cappuccino, and it was perfection in a cup. The attention to detail, from the perfectly frothed milk to the beautifully balanced flavors, was remarkable.
Their menu also offers delicious treats to accompany your drink. I couldnât resist their homemade pastries, and the freshly baked croissant was heavenlyâflaky, buttery, and just the right size.
What really sets Cafecito apart is the friendly service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They even took the time to recommend their favorite items, which made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.
Nestled in a charming corner of Amsterdam, Cafecito is more than just a cafĂ©âitâs a very...
Read moreThe strawberry matcha was very tasty and the tonic was also very good. Probably one of the best matcha I have tried, no seaweed aftertaste, soft and pleasant taste. The barista girl was very friendly. I don't like to leave negative reviews about service, but the girl in the brown shirt was very professional and I have only great impressions from her. Unfortunately, the other two girls at the bar ignored the crowd of customers. In my opinion, this is unprofessional, if you have too many orders, tell the customers about it, and do not just ignore them and talk to each other. Five stars to the girl in the...
