Chicken Palace — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I placed an order over two hours ago via JustEat/Thuisbezorgd, and I am still waiting, despite the time saying 20-30 mins for delivery. After calling the restaurant, I was told the driver was outside, and that the person on the phone was also outside with the driver (despite me hearing the noises of the restaurant in the background). I waited outside for a hour. I called again and was told it hadn’t left the restaurant, but would be en route soon. I called several times after this, and was told various lies about the whereabouts of my order. When I asked him to cancel the order, he swore at me and hung up the phone. I’m so appalled at this. I’ve now called over twenty times to try get this cancelled. AVOID!! They are now claiming it has been delivered — it has not.

Edit: In response to Chicken Palace’s totally unprofessional response to my review, I was “smart enough” to write down my telephone number with the correct country code. I called them over twenty times. This wasn’t an issue. They began ignoring my calls, they never tried to call. Secondly, the hotel room number is clearly shown on my order, and I asked them to leave the food with reception (where I was stood waiting for...

Food arrived two hours late. Not just after two hours, two hours later than initially said. The delivery driver then explained that they were late because they had a lot of orders. The courier then had the audacity to assure me the food wasn't cold. It was.

Whilst on the topic of food, saying that it wasn't great would be a gross understatement. Everything tasted stale and the chicken was drowning in oil.

Avoid this place. The rest of the reviews agree. Having this many 1-star reviews is very telling. Their replies to reviews take zero accountability, but instead shifting the blame elsewhere, sometimes their own customers. Some of the replies are completely unprofessional too.

I had a terrible experience with my recent order. The delivery took an extremely long time, and I was not provided with a reason for the delay. Furthermore, the estimated delivery time was not updated even after waiting for over an hour. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service provided. Had I read their reviews before placing the order, I would not have made the purchase. I was unable to sleep the entire night waiting for the order to arrive. To make matters worse, the restaurant did not answer their phone when I called to inquire about the status of my order. It's unacceptable for a manager to allow such poor service. I hope they improve their service...
