World of Karaoke | Prive Karaoke & Cocktailbar — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We (party of 2) have done two hours of karaoke in the Paris room, and we have had a blast. While the room was good, and the personnel friendly and helpful, I have some minor remarks though.

For starters, it was quite chilly in the room, and while there was a switch to control the lights, there didn't appear to be one to control the airconditioning. If the airconditioning is arranged centrally, better bring a jumper or a hoodie or something like that.

Second, the sound system itself was great, however it wasn't in balance with the microphones. Or the volume of the sound system could have been a bit lower, or the volume of the microphones could have been a bit higher.

Third, I know I have a more obscure taste in music, but you'd think Nada Surf would be well known enough to feature in the catalog. But they weren't in there at all. And Metric only had a couple of their songs in there. Not sure if World of Karaoke is to blame here, or if it's just a rights thing. In the end we found other songs, it's not a massive issue, but the catalog has its limitations.

Fourth, don't come here to get drunk, the prices of the drinks are on the higher side.

Fifth and finally, maybe we overlooked it, but it seemed like you couldn't order...

I went in expecting to have fun, but I didn’t expect THIS much fun. I went for a mini babyshower, with the intention to sing all the mama and baby themed songs It’s been two days and I’m still rolling on the high that came from belting my heart out along with my friends (we ended up picking many many breakup/empowering/teen angst hits).

It’s so cathartic to just let go and act like a fool while singing and dancing to your favorite songs. Will definitely come again and absolutely recommend this for a group of friends who feel comfortable with themselves when they’re together. The service was great and very kind, and drinks - though pricy - were served quickly through a QR system that meant no one had to leave the room if we wanted...

We will definitely be back!! We absolutely love having fun singing and dancing!!

Got a deal of social deals. Didn’t know what to expect. Walked in and was greeted by a friendly hostess. She walked us to our room and within 3 mins we were set up and ready to sing!! Drinks were served cold and in a good time. Love that it’s so close to home.

We almost extended for another two hours lol…pity they don’t have food offerings. We will definitely be booking again. Rooms have ample space and mics are great. We just started and the one mic’s batteries needed to be replaced. Within 2 mins we were up and running again. Awesome...
