Food delivery is so inconsistent. You need to step up your training because the last 5 times I ordered I got 5 different Sababa classics. My experience ~ 1st time: wow this is good. 2nd time - this is not good I donโt understand. The falafel is so dry. I will complain. 3rd time - Iโll give them a 2nd chance. Falafel was dry again and It was not worth the price. 4th time - itโs been a couple months and they have a 4.9 rating on Uber eats Iโll try again. It was really good. 5th time - cold and so much less ingredients than before and dry falafel again. Totally not worth the price. The rating on Uber Eats is a SCAM.
Itโs so sad when the consistency is just not there. A restaurantโs job to is to ensure the product is the same every time you order it. This doesnโt have to do with delivery. Itโs the quality and quantity of ingredients that were different every time. Itโs obvious your training is not up to standard if you would send your customers sparsely made and dry pita falafels. Iโm disappointed in your restaurant and Uber Eats. I wasnโt compensated so youโll never see me as a customer of either again.
Edit: I was compensated by Uber Eats and the restaurant after sharing this review with Uber Eats. So I changed this...
ย ย ย Read moreToday I ate at Sababa for the first time, and I must say I wasn't disappointed! Initially I was lured by the great reviews of the Harissa chicken, which is right up my alley. I know, I should eat less meat. For now however the feeling of enjoyment outweighs the feeling of guilt, but it's slowly shifting. Once there however they told me they had a new vegetarian kebab made with jackfruit.
What can I say, besides contributing to the decay of the planet, I'm an adventurer. Or at least when it comes to food. Or to be completely honest, only when it comes to food. So I tried it, together with the home made fries with lemon mayonnaise.
The vegetarian kebab to my surprise was a big hit! A hint of smokiness, the juicy jackfruit, a fresh kind of salsa finished with lettuce and cabbage served on a really good pita. More of these kind of sandwiches make it easier for people like me to give up meat! I'll definitely come by again and it won't be a feeling of guilt or the need to spice up my otherwise boring life that will persuade me to go for the vegetarian option!
Btw I will definitely try the Harissa chicken...
ย ย ย Read moreI had eaten at Sababa before this. They have several places in Amsterdam. I ate here with a friend before we went to a concert. For us it was a quick bite and for vegetarians an easy and good place with choice.
The food here is very tasty. I always order the haloumi fries (which are not on the menu everywhere) because I like them. For the rest the sweet potato fries and we had another falafel salad. The flavors are always well distributed and it's a lot of what you get.
Staff is friendly and ready to serve you if you need anything or have any questions.
The design is a warm design. Not very special but attractive to linger. The store does have a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The music inside plays in the background. This time there were quite a few funky songs in between which I did go well to.
All in all, good food and also good for a quick/...
