LOVERS Cafe — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We went on a cruise with Lovers Canal Cruises. During the cruise, our 1-year-old daughter soiled her diaper. So, we went to the Lovers Cafe located just off the boat. We explained the situation, and despite having paid for a cruise with this company, the person told us that if we wanted to use the restroom to change our daughter, we had to make a purchase. In this world, even the dignity of a one-year-old has become a paid commodity... Shame on you.

It was a dark and rainy night, so we didn't change our daughter outside. Our daughter had to remain in her own mess for another 40 minutes until we found a place with understanding and compassionate people.

The name LOVERS doesn't match with this place! After a long tour of Amsterdam, I went there to have a drink, the time they prepare my drink I asked to go to the toilet, after 5min, the waitress (brunette) came yelling and knocking the toilet's door asking me to get out of the bathroom, she thought that I was with someone! After everything were clarified, she refused to serve my drink saying that they have closed the bar. I found out after with the manager that they close at 18h two hours after I came, no one was able to explain me why I couldn't have my drink, Is it because of the color of my skin? Also she was very rude even if she was totally wrong, other people noticed the same in...

Looked at the menu and it was really expensive. Overpriced. They sincerely have to do something about the toilet facilities. Read: fill the soap dispenser. Check toilet paper. Clean or at least check every hour. It was pee and poop all over the floors and on the toilet. Had to wipe clean before use and put tp all around the ring. Didn't wanna touch a thing. When you stand in line, you'll probably feel like canned tuna. NOT SUITED FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, ESPECIALLY WHEELCHAIRS WHEN GOING TO THE TOILET, find somewhere else to go. Sorry...
