We visited this place on a Thursday night. There was plenty of seating, although we were directed to a table, we did ask one waiter if we could sit at the back or in a corner as we had our 11 year old with us, so we wanted to be tucked away a bit. We were met with a sharp no. We sat at the table we were directed to and then asked a waitress if we could move to a more appropriate table behind us, she agreed.
We ordered two orders of steak and chips and one order of fish and chips. The meal sizes were average. The food wasn't spectacular, it wasn't horrible, it was cooked. The meals were €20 each we each had one coke and ordered one some of onion rings at €12. The bill came to €90 which was quite steep.
The female staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean and the decor was creative.
There were lots of choices on the menu for lunch and dinner.
We were able to pay by cash which was an added bonus!
I would say that the restaurant was quite high in price, I would imagine the location...
Read moreCame here on my birthday for lunch. First time in Amsterdam so wasn't sure what to expect food-wise, but I definitely regret spending my time and money here. Small menu, so you'd think they'd do a brilliant job on the items- my burger was very mediocre, not worth the high price. I asked for tap water as I was on a budget and was told they only had $5 bottled water. The service was attentive to the point of rudeness. The restaurant was empty besides friends of the staff, so I wasn't worried about table turnover. You would think after the first polite dismissal she would have gotten the hint that we are taking our time. The food wasn't bad, but absolutely not worth the price or...
Read moreWent here for breakfast before needing to catch a train. We had an hour to kill so thought that was plenty of time. Our order was taken, then we were told there would be more than a 15 minute wait for the breakfast. We agreed and said that was fine. We weren't given a reason why our food would be late. We were served the tea we had ordered with the breakfast. 40 minutes went by and still no breakfast. When i asked a server would we be waiting much longer we realised our food hadn't even been started to be made yet. I walked to the till and told a member of staff that we would have to leave as we needed to go for our train. We didn't recieve any explanation as to why our food was so late and why other customers were being served around us. And we didn't receive an apology either. Then we had the pleasure of paying €9 for the two teas. Absolute robbery, and terrible customer...
