In English (Netherlands below): My colleague and I were with 14 students (age 15-17) from Germany for 2 days in Amsterdam. We wanted to make a canal trip and asked first at the Rederij Plas Rondvaarten for a trip with 16 people of a school class. At this point he noticed and asked for the age. Answer: 15-17, whereupon he rudely interrupted me and said that we were not going because: They were all too loud, would shout around and only disturb the other guests during the loudspeaker tour. He snippily recommended that I go to the other vendors. I tried to explain to him several times in a friendly manner that the students were from a special school, there were only 14 youngsters, and they were so well-adjusted that they immediately quieted down when I told them to. He kept interrupting with a "No" and said to me in German "No matter what you say, you're not going." At this point I realized that talking was futile and left very upset. I followed his tip and was able to arrange a ride with the provider "Stromma" without any problems. There was even a 10% discount here. Absolutely recommended!
It may be that bad experiences with young people have been made here, but to lump everyone together and to do so in such a brusque tone is absolutely unacceptable. Our hearing impaired students would have been able to follow a ride through loudspeakers much better than one with headphones, which do not attach well to the hearing aids. I did not get to explain this to the staff member because he kept interrupting me and was absolutely stuck in his opinion. An apology by this employee (older gentleman, almost bald), who was sitting at the checkout on 09.06.2022 at about 17:40, is appropriate. I've never said this before, but: avoid this company! Thank you!

It was a really nice experience when we were lining up to get the ticket. However, once we get on board, the 17:00 boat on Aug 3rd the captain completely lowered our excitement. We were having small talk discussing the view & places by the canal. However, the captain kept giving us a side eye, she even said something indirectly to us on the mic. At the same time, another guest was speaking but she was smiling at them since they are European. Eventually, one of my friends he was in a rush to catch the Eurostar therefore he wanted to get off the boat first and the captain POINTED AND SHOUTED at my friend to tell him to sit down impolitely. Completely annoyed and disappointed about the service, there’s no WAY you can treat people in this way. Racism is not acceptable, and all individuals should be treated with respect and dignity regardless of their background or language skills. It is crucial to promote a culture of inclusivity and understanding in all aspects of life. THE SERVICE WAS UNACCEPTABLE, RACISM SHOULD...
Read moreExtremely rude female captain. Does not have any sense how to talk to paying customers. It is not right in any circumstance, regardless of the situation, that one should yell at someone.(my crime was that I went back to my stroller to retrieve an item I had left behind in my stroller. The boat had not left yet and was still boarding. I personally did not feel comfortable leaving it behind at the dock.) I was so excited for the ride, but the whole experience was soured after she yelled. You can talk and make your point without yelling at customers. Treat people with kindness. If you would have spoken nicely I would have had a better experience. Yelling and talking in a demeaning manner says a lot about your character. If you don't like dealing with customers on a daily basis and interacting with tourists then quit and find another place to work. This company should teach their workers how to treat people with respect. I still feel so horrible how I spoken too. Definitely did not deserve to be yelled...
