Oh my goodness, where do I even begin with Milky in Amsterdam? This place is an absolute gem and hands down served the best pancakes Iâve ever had in my life! My partner and I stumbled upon this spot on our last day in the city, and Iâm simultaneously grateful and gutted. Grateful for the mind blowing experience, but gutted I didnât find it sooner because I wouldâve been back every single day to try more of the many different flavour combination on their menu.
I had the American pancakes with brownie, berry fruits, and Kinder sauce a heavenly combination that was pure perfection. The pancakes were fluffy, the brownies rich, and the fresh berries paired with that luscious Kinder sauce took it to another level. My partner ordered the regular crepe with whipped cream, strawberries, Kinder sauce, and white chocolate sauce, and it was equally phenomenal, light and bursting with flavor. Every bite was an absolute delight.
The staffâs recommendation elevated what would have been an already near perfect 9/10 to a mind blowing 11/10. Their suggestion was spot on, and you can tell theyâre passionate about crafting unforgettable desserts.
The vibe at Milky makes it truly special. Tucked away from the usual tourist hustle, it feels like a cozy, hidden haven where locals and lucky visitors alike can indulge in dessert perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a laid back charm that makes you feel right at home.
In my opinion, Milky is hands down the best dessert spot in the city. Forget the overhyped tourist traps this is the real deal. Iâll be raving about this place to everyone I know, and if youâre in Amsterdam, make Milky your top dessert destination. Your taste buds will thank you!
Pro Tip: Trust the staffâs recommendations they know how to make your order absolutely...
Read moreVisiting Milky in Amsterdam after enjoying Milky pancakes in our and their home country Croatia for years was absolutely given. So when planning our trip to Amsterdam one thing was for sure: as soon as we check in - Milky pancakes it is! Due to unlucky circumastances it took us 13 hours to reach Amsterdam from Vienna that day, and Milky pancakes were at the moment of our arrival flashing in our heads almost as bright as that light at the end of a tunnel known also as ending of all misery. So we walked and walked, and it was rainy and cold, but the thought of that deliciousness just kept us going. When we finally saw Milky sign at the door it was as if we've met Jesus himself. All super excited we walked in. And that, I must say, was a peak of that experience. The girl handing over the menus was not even close as excited as us to take our order, to say the least. Not only we had to repeat our order consisting of a "pancake" + 2 spreads 4 times, but when the pancakes finally arrived they were almost as cold as the lady at Austrian Airlines service desk saying that our flight has been cancelled earlier that day. Why Milky, oh why? We put all bets on you and you dissappoint us so deeply?! Hence 2 stars (because we were hungry, so kinda filled the emptiness of our tired stomachs). Oh, and suuuuuper overpriced too. Same pancakes in Croatian Milky are 3...
Read moreI was in Amsterdam with my friends and we decided to get dessert. One of my friends is Gluten free and lactose intolerant so she can only eat certain foods. We found Milky and it said that they had gluten free options. She ended up ordered 2 crepes and her total came out to be about âŹ30. They handed her one crepe and she said âthis is the gluten free correct?â And the guy at the counter reassured her it was. She then said âI only see one box are they in the same one?â And he again reassured her they were both in the bag and handed her a fork and a knife. We then got in the Uber and headed back to where we were staying not thinking twice about it. Once we got back and she went to eat her crepes she noticed that she only received one, and nothing that she had added was on the crepe (meaning it wasnât gluten free either) she ended up paying âŹ30 for a crepe that had almost nothing in it and wasnât even gluten free. She called them and they said âoh I was waiting for you to come back or callâ and then ask her to provide her bank account information so that they could deposit the money into her account. She said she did not feel comfortable giving out her bank information and they said âwe will call you backâ and never did. We then tried calling the next day and they never picked up the phone. So she is now our âŹ30 for...
