Red Light Bar — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Overall a great drink and smoke bar, drinks are a reasonable price. Went to this bar twice during our trip, the first time we stayed on the first floor which allows drinking only and smoking in designated closed off areas. Even though the smoking area does have an open window for slight ventilation we and other customers tended to use the smoking area taking turns. Our second visit was probably my favourite. We went again as part of a bar crawl and we were taken to their second floor (may be wrong but think the second floor is only open weekends as it wasn't open when we visited the first time). It was more like a good inside of a club with music drinks and also unlike the floor below smoking was permitted in the bar area outside of smoking areas. Red Light Bar is in a great location, cant attualy believe all the times we have been to Amsterdam this had been our first visits this year. Will deffently return when back...

Walked here after dinner. I noticed all the positive reviews and we decided to come here. I was hoping the place wasn't too full and it wasn't. But in fairness this was a Monday night. Since I don't drink beer, I ordered a cider. They have me a choice between Strongbow draft and Somersby Apple in a bottle. Now I like sweet ciders but wow, was it sweet. I drank it down, but I know I couldn't drink too many. My hubby had a Affigem blond and enjoyed so much. This place is send like a nice place. Both bartenders took care of us. In the US we are used to paying at the end of the stay (open tab), not each time we buy a beer, so that...

This bar reminds me of a local dive bar we frequent at home in Cleveland, so we were totally comfortable there with what seemed like more locals than tourists in Amsterdam. We went inside because they had a pool table. We met a group of friends and played teams. The pool table was a little grimy but we had fun playing and meeting new people. It was a diverse crowd. The drink prices were fair. I enjoyed a Hendricks and tonic and my husband had a beer. Not sure how much we spent total, but I’m sure it was less than $35 euros.
