At first we got a very nice service, a lot of attention from the waiter and perhaps he was an owner. It all started to seem a bit off when he would not allow to order the main course while we were ordering starters even though the person who did not order a starter wanted only a main course. After eating our starters we waited for like an hour to get our pastas... there were 4 of us and we started getting mad. As soon as the pastas came, two of them were wrong and the waiter started defending himself even though he was the one who wrote the number from the menu incorrectly. He did not even ask if we were fine with eating the other pasta, which we would as it was already like 1h 15 later after we ordered and we were hungry. He said 5 min and new pastas will come. Then he came back saying that it is going to take too long for spaghettis to boil and said that with penne the pasta is even better ( then why having it on the menu with spaghetti?) by that time we did not care at all. The pasta came within 10 min, my question, then why did it take them more than 1,5hours to bring the first pastas? After getting our PENNE frutti di mare pastas we started eating and burned our tongue. From my knowledge, restaurants should not provide food that is burning or just out of the oven etc... we would not mind waiting extra 5 min because we have already waited too long but he did not warn us that the food was extremely hot and we had to wait to let it cool down. After eating the food, which was ok, not the best not the worst, the sauce of frutti di mare was a bit sour which was the last thing I cared after getting this terrible service. We ask for the bill and one of the people who were with us asked him straight up for a discount twice, he ignored. Instead he offered four shots of limoncello for free, we only took 2 because one person doesn’t drink, another one is underage. Then the bill comes, we see that something is wrong, we go grab a menu to check if everything was correct, turned out they put 3 beers on our bill that we did not order, we asked again for the discount and they said it is not possible. In the beginning when we arrived i asked one lady, perhaps the owner as well about a dessert. We did not order that at the end as it was already 11pm! While we were paying, the same lady was staring at me as if it was all my fault. And then she asked very rudely if we wanted that dessert i was curious about before, ofc I said no because we did not want to stay there longer and while we were leaving noone said goodbye to us, the hospitality that we had in the beginning was gone. The food was okay but the price is not worth the service we got there and on too of that, while we were waiting for the main courses, they waiter asked us to rate the place with 5 stars with nothing in return and without us even trying the food. After this experience, just because of the hospitality, rudeness and the greedy owners, I would never go back there, it was not worth the time and money. I am disappointed that this happened to us as we all had very high hopes...

I visited the restaurant with a large group of friends this Saturday and I was so excited for a lovely meal with my friends, however what was supposed to be a nice evening quickly turned into a nightmare.
I ordered an Aperol Spritz, calamari to start and the burrata pizza. When the waitress brought out my starter, it looked very unappetising but I'm not a fussy eater so I gave it a go and it was just disgusting. The squid was cold and raw and the batter was and thick. After trying to get through a couple rings I couldn't eat anymore. I had totally lost my appetite (which is very rare). After several minutes I started to feel quite unwell and I knew I would not be able to eat a whole pizza.
I waited until our sever was free because she had a very packed section and politely asked if I could cancel my main if it had not been made. She went to the kitchen to check and came back to tell me that it had already been made. I understood and accepted this, but politely asked for it to not come to the table. Instead of just accepting this request, the waitress said "Don't worry darling, you don't pay. I will pay." I apologised several times and just explained I was suddenly feeling unwell. She replied: "Oh you aren't well but you can drink an Aperol Spritz' (I had one sip by this point) At this point other diners were starting to stare and I was clearly quite upset.
I continued to apologise, yet she stayed at the table aggressively telling me how she would have to pay for the pizza if I didn't. It was so mortifying and I was furious because I had not once asked for a refund/for it to be taken off the bill. My friends' mains started to arrive and she continued to stand at the end of the table making the same point over and over again. My friend next to me asked her time and time again to please just let us have our meals in peace but she would not leave it.
It was so intense I thought I would go outside for some fresh air and to call my partner. When I was outside, she returned to the table asking "Where is she?" before accusing me of having "too many mushrooms" prior to the meal. I was horrified when I heard this.
Her manager apologised and offered some of us some shots but our server's behaviour honestly ruined the whole meal. I have never been so uncomfortable and embarrassed in public like that before.
Our table had spend over £400 on food and drinks, but because I had asked about the possibility of cancelling a pizza I was shouted at, humiliated and degraded.
I will not be returning if I visit the city again and I advise others to think carefully about...
Read moreI visited here with a large group of friends on Saturday. We initially were very excited, as this was our only meal as a group for the whole trip (15 of us). We ordered our starters and mains and when the starters came my friend, who I was sat next to, got calamari. It was absolutely disgusting, so after this she lost her appetite. She asked our waiter (a probably 40 year old woman with blonde hair) could she cancel her main as she was feeling unwell. She went and checked in with the kitchen who informed her the pizza was already in the oven. Politely she said, ok well please can you not bring it to the table as I’m not feeling well and will not eat. To put into context there is 15 of us who has starters and mains so one pizza isn’t a big deal to not want. The waiter blew up screaming at my friend across the table saying well I will pay for pizza then if you won’t pay. My friend never said she wasn’t going to pay she just asked for it not to be brought to the table. The waiter was horrible, ruining the whole meal. She accused her of having to many drugs (we where all sober as we don’t take drugs) said why was she drinking alcohol when she is ‘sick’. My friend hadn’t even touched her drink at this point. She made the atmosphere so hostile, she even made my friend cry. I went and spoke to the manager and told her how disgusting the waiters behaviour was. The waiter kept coming back to voice her opinion, saying we have cameras that can see the conversation, how we were trying to get ‘free food’ and blaming my friend feeling unwell on drugs. The reason my friend didn’t want the pizza was because of their disgusting calamari. Overall the waiter ruined our whole meal, was such a horrible and traumatic experience. They lost out on a massive tip because of a single pizza. If you ever want to go here I would highly discourage you to visit this restaurant. Not to mention she was openly rude to some of our friends who don’t drink alcohol saying it’s boring not to want to drink, again insinuating British people are big drinkers. We would have stayed for more drinks but we left straight after we finished the meal as it was such an upsetting and unpleasant experience. Avoid this restaurant...
