I ordered 3 pizzas via Uber Eats, and was given an estimated delivery time of 30 minutes. As time progressed, I tracked the order in the app and saw that a delivery courier arrived at the restaurant but the food was still being prepared. After a while, the courier left without our order. The estimated delivery time in the app increased by 15 minutes. Some time later, a second courier showed up at the restaurant, but the food was still not ready. By then, the estimated delivery time in the app had increased by another 10 minutes. Time passed, but the food was still not ready. The second courier departed without our food. 50 minutes after placing our order, there was a message in the app saying that the food could not be delivered because a courier could not be found. Pizza is pretty good, but it doesn’t make up for the downsides. They prioritise delivery orders over people eating, which means 90 minutes from sitting down to getting a simple pizza served at the table. This doesn’t work with children. They made mistakes with the toppings. Inattentive service for drink refills, getting the bill, then bringing the wrong bill, etc. The place also needs better ventilation as it gets smokey. Staff was friendly, but maybe they need more working and a bigger pizza oven perhaps, and management to stop prioritising deliveries over clients sitting there. Was once my go to pizza place (sit in and take out) but looks like I’m going to have to find another. The last few times I’ve ordered delivery with them the pizza’s have been burnt and basically inedible. The centre of the pizza is completely soggy and hard to eat. Some of the slices have 0 cheese on them and the flavours just aren’t what they used to be. Also don’t both asking them to cut the pizza for you, they never do.
