Natraj Restaurant — Restaurant in Amsterdam

My friend and I ate there this evening. The food was ok but service very lacking for pricing. I’d recommend takeaways but dining in service not recommended. Our appetizer was forgotten and brought after the main course. No plates or silverware had to ask after receiving main course and waiting a bit. Like others said the water situation is ridiculous. I was charged 6 euros for a liter of water. No tap water I was told. Brought water in tiny bottle with no lid obviously from the tap and said he would bring more to equal the liter if I wanted them. Meanwhile other tables were provided pitchers of water. I had asked the price of the water before I agreed. He said he forgot then when I got the bill it was more than the wine my friend ordered ! Very deceptive! I spoke to the manager he said it doesn’t matter what they did for others this is what we are doing for you. I’d be very wary of this place if you want a nice dining experience. I’d say take out but I’m sure there are lots of places with good Indian food that won’t take...

The restaurant is nice and the food was amazing. Manager/waiter in there was very understanding, welcoming and tried to accomodate all of the requests. We were 10 people and the food didnt take that long. The annoying thing was the price though. For the amount of food given (small) the price was high. Especially that we order from the same restaurant and we get easily double the amount of food. (Understanding that It was explained to us that delivery is regulated in a way that it will be different than the store). But still i don't understand why reducing the amount of food. If its for thenservice, then add a service charge! Beside that, my tummy was very happy with the food so i wasnt all unhappy 😜.

Very bad service!! We ordered a menu with 1 rice and 2 naan and the shopping cart gave us the option “RICE/NAAN”. Unclear, we chose naan because we had to choose something and thought we would still receive what was in the description regardless. Wrong, because they gave us a 3 naan and no rice. When we called they said they would send the rice asap, but then they called back later (unfriendly tone) to retract that and said we had to pay extra!! Apparently the option “NAAN” means 3 naan and 0 rice, and the option “RICE” means 1 rice and 2 naan! Instead of admitting that this is super confusing and deliver us the rice anyway, they chose to deliver bad service and losing...
